We booked this trip independently. We used Joe Cool to deliver us here and then paid the entrance fee and took the float. This is a once in a lifetime thing to do and should not be missed. Our captain Ray was very good and skillful in maneuvering the raft. The ride lasts about an hour and is very relaxing... More

Delightful slow float down the river on a piloted bamboo raft, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Could do with a little less pushy commercialism but well worth a visit

This is really a late review and I'm sure things have changed but we went down the river on our honeymoon 38 yr ago. It was beautiful, relaxing and a wonderful trip. At the time there were no vendors and I know that has changed but if you want some quiet, scenic time this is a good trip.

It was a very calm and peaceful experience. The guide pointed out some sights but didn't talk too much which was appreciated. There were vendors along the river trying to sell you things but they were not overly aggressive (perhaps because many cruise ship passengers had been through on an excursion earlier in the day). There are cushions to sit... More

Greatly enjoyed the Martha Brae Rafting experience! Cleveland Roland was our driver and such a pleasure to meet. He taught us about the trees and birds and how the river works, carved beautiful bowls and cups out of local fruits and even let us fish off the raft. This is a beautiful experience and so well worth the money. Highly... More

It was sold as a romantic trip on a bamboo raft. Yes it was on a bamboo raft but we went with 3 other couples who all got their rafts at least 30 minutes before us. The driver of our bus told our boat man to takeus down as fast as he could so as the others didn't have to... More

This trip seem really on the brochure, unfortunately it was just average. It was peaceful but not much to see. Raft guides were okay but all try to sell you stuff they make and make you feel guilty for not buying. Not worth the money.

My wife, daughter (12), and I made a return trip to the Martha Brae River for a little rafting adventure. We'd gone several years ago (6 or 7 years ago) and were happy to see our same raft captain, Captain Murphy, was waiting to guide us down the river again. This is a very relaxing excursion...just floating along on a... More
