I was excited about this beach first because it shares my mother's name. Did not worry about the steep entrance, the drivers are all familiar with it. The water is very still like a swimming pool and it's very warm and soft.... yes the water has a softness as opposed to the harshness of many salt waters. I may have... More

I am not sure how to describe this experience as there are no words. Beautiful, beautiful beautiful!!! Visited because we saw the CNN story. The road getting there is worth it. When you get there you understand why God is sooooo good. Met Ms. Cynthia as soon as we arrived she came out and greeted us. What a sweet soul.... More

Beautiful beach. A little harder to get to than some others, but the water is quiet since the waves crash further out on a reef. Food took a really long time to get made at the restaurant, so order early.

This Lagoon is as gorgeous as it looks in the photos. It has a small jetty and beavh as the only access between private properties. Swimming is lovely and there are warm water coming up, the colder river and salty sea.

It was great this day, it was a lazy day and only a few people were there. It is suggested that you make a donation as you enter the beach as this is the only private resident beach that still exists and locals are responsible for the complete maintenance of the beach without pay. The men who do care for... More

The beach was difficult to find. There are no signs and it is down an absolutely horrible road that we almost didn't make it down! Other people said there's a shortcut to walk down but I don't know where that is. There was someone at the beach asking for a donation which we gladly gave. There are several vendor booths... More

Winnifred Beach is a really nice, small beach a bit away from the main road, which makes it super peaceful. There is no entry fee, but you can contribute. The approach is a bit rough, but once you're there you can enjoy and relax. There are few little restaurants to grab a food.

I visited Winifred Beach in late June after a trip to Frenchman's Cove. This place is a completely different experience from Frenchman's Cove. There is a crazy drive down a tight road to get to the beach. The beach is area is packed with locals hanging out, enjoying food, and listening to music. There are plenty places to buy food... More

winifred beach is absolutely beautiful: white sands, turquoise seas, lush vegetation. i went after some heavy rains and a clean up was needed, but even still, it was a fantastic place to spend the day. my only word of caution would be to be careful of doreen who sells food at the end of the beach (near the spring). she...
