Nice to walk through to go down to the ocean walk. No you can walk all the way around the point of the fort for a bit and then there is a walkway thru the brush to where you can go to the cemetery wall.

Legend has it that if you kissed a loved one at the gate of San Juan your love will last forever in each of your hearts. It is beautiful and romantic.

The gate represents the historic entrance from the sea to san Juan. The place is good for long walks, jogging and fresh sea breeze. Upon entering, nice place to get lost among the small streets.

If you go nice and early, you'll be alone - or rather will lots of stray cats. There is a really nice walk that goes along the outer edge of the city walls and stops at San Juan Gate. I'd been to the city before...More

There is not much to see but good to have known that you have visited. We were traveling with 5 people (2 adults and 3 kids under 9). We visited the fort, save a gato, the gate and then the church.

No tickets required! Only for the fortresses and they are cheap. The beaches are good and you can do as you like. Pretty safe IMHO.
