When we started our walk on La Princessa, it was hot and we want to get out of the sun. Fortunately we discovered the gate that took us back into old SJ and we could finish the walk from above the wall. The gate leads to a tree lined street that is wonderful. At the top of the street on... More

Definitely some beautiful history here. Just a few entrances to the walled city, they've maintained them and kept them up nicely. You can't miss seeing them as you're strolling around the old city.

A neat piece of history to see while visiting Old San Juan. Located right on the ocean front. An interesting sight.

Interesting historical information on the gate and the wall around Old San Juan. Great for interesting picture taking. Take advantage of the big tree before the gate in order to cool off before venturing around the wall.

Down by the ocean and there is a sign explaining all about the gate and how it was used in the history of San Juan. Massive old doors and great picture opportunity.

Of the six original gates to enter the city of Old San Juan, this is the only one remaining. Easily included as part of your own walking tour of Old San Juan. Be sure to follow the walking path out along the point too.

Read the tutorials along the way. Much information about the walls. The castles. The city. Walk along the wall to El Morrow. Beautiful walk.
