We didn't make it down into the cemetery itself as we were hiking between monuments, but you can see this spot from the road. It's a lovely resting spot and makes for some great pictures.

Such a beautiful cemetery. With such old graves. You can feel the presents of very old souls. Loved reading the tombstones

The actual name for this place is Cemetario Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzis. It sits right next to the iconic fort in the middle of Old San Juan and leads right up to the ocean. It's covered in very interesting graves, tombs, and crypts dating...More

We usually make a point of visiting interesting cemeteries when we travel and this one didn't disappoint. Very unique graves and the setting is very beautiful. Made sure to be respectful while there as a burial was in progress during our visit.

Just impressive and marvelous to see so many tombs with so many renowned Puerto Rico residents. If you like to relive history, this a great place to do so.

This is a good spot to spend a few minutes while you're visiting Castillo de San Cristobal. It's located right next door and has an excellent view of the ocean.

Neat place to spend a few minutes. We didn't actually go into the cemetery, just looked from above as we walked between Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristobal.

Does anyone know the schedule of the cemetery in San Juan? I've been calling the number on Google and I haven't had any luck getting anyone. Last time I went I attempted a few times and was never able to go in and I'm returning again in 2 weeks and would really love to enter and visit my Grandmother's tombstone, Thx for any feed back!

We would like to take a taxi from the pier (arriving on cruise ship) to the cemetery and Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Would there be taxis available to take us back to the ship? Or is there public transportation available?

Yes it is a short walk from the terminal, however when we arrived by cruise ship, there was a shuttle bus that would take you to old town and the walk is only about 5 minutes.
