Although there is something weird about it being a cemetery, this area sits between the El Morro fort and the water. Beautiful views all around. I have not actually walked inside the cemetery area, and I feel this would be disrespectful if only walking thru to sight see or take pictures. This area is best viewed from the grounds of... More

Make sure to visit the cemetery while in Old San Juan. It is breath taking. Right on the ocean. Quiet and peaceful. The grave stones are magnificent. You have to walk inside the tunnel to get to the entrance which can be hard to find. Just ask for help.

You could easily walk past this cemetery but don't! You have to look over the wall to see. Lots of marble headstones and crypts along the ocean.

Cemetery was well kept and very interesting to view. Wasn't expecting this while on a walk to the Fort, but was able to view from the walls surrounding the fort / cemetary.

Make sure you get a reputable tour guide. They will take you all over San Juan for 20 dollars for person with airport transfers.

We walked to the cemetry during our visit to the San Juan Historic site. It is located near the boundary wall with one side to the ocean and hence has great views. It cannot be missed with it's white tomb stones and a big center white building. The gates can be locked but you can still view it from the... More

On a walk between the 2 forts we came across this rather spooky grave yard. It was very nice and well kept, but again it's a grave yard. So if that is your thing you will be amazed, if not then keep walking.

We walked from our cruise ship up to the San Juan Cemetery. We spent about 1 1/2 hours here. It is very interesting and the plots are very artistic. I have never seen a cemetery set up like this one. If you like walking through cemeteries don't miss the chance to visit this one.

Very pretty cemetery. Check on hours before you go. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the gates were locked. We wished we could have gone in and wandered but we got some cool pictures through the gate. In a beautiful setting. Make sure to stop by and see it - it is right by the Del Morro Fort.... More
