While ago I went there just to see the art of the unique Antonio Martorell. Outside the expectations for this great itinerant collection (which turned out to be Awesome), I did not have any interest in the rest of the permanent collections. The surprise was pleasantly good and in fact it "forced" me to extend my visit and enjoy the... More

This museum had everything! The different cultures of the Americas. Paintings, sculptures and awesome exhibits. The outdoor pavilion was nice but could've used something to fill such an empty space

I really enjoyed the displays but found the old building that houses the Museo also very interesting. It is laid out around a courtyard and the exhibits and some restaurants are also in the building. Good for an afternoon of browsing and learning more about Latin America in general.

I took almost 200 pics! A lot to see. What i found most interesting was information on the African influence on Puerto Rico. There are lots of displays and lots of art too. There is air conditioning! There is a restaurant on the first level. The cost is five dollars. The staff there is also nice and very helpful. take... More

Nothing earth-shattering, but a leisure walk through different exhibits showing art from different indigenous cultures from America. Also local artist exhibit. Great coffee shops and restaurants on the first floor.

Pretty interesting little museum that explains the origins of Puerto Rico's rich diversity and some of the societies that continue to prosper around the Americas in smaller numbers long after occidental influence led to their demise. We were among the few to visit the museum this day and covered about 75% of what we wanted in the hour allotted to... More

It shows a good part of history, however, some of the exhibitions need improvement. It is in a good location, near everything in Old San juan.

We practically stumbled on this museum, but what a great find! I loved the different galleries we experienced. They were so very unique and historical. My husband and I had never visited Puerto Rico before, and this museum actually spoke volumes to the cultural background we had questions about while traveling around different areas. It was a highlight of our... More

This place is tucked into Old San Juan. You can walk there from cruise ports if you don't mind a bit of a walk. The walk there is easy since it's all paved roads and the views are great. The museum itself is in a beautiful building. It's on the second floor and consists of 8 exhibit rooms. It's $6... More
