Great experience

Beautiful piece of nature. Not for anyone with health problems. It is a medium terrain hike with steep up and down slopes

We did a group tour that involved hiking the part of the trail that leads to La Mina Waterfall. It's very steep in places and the rocks get slippery when it rains - as it tends to do in the rainforest. Although it's beautiful, I didn't find the hike relaxing at all. The urgency to get to the waterfall, and... More

Gorgeous views, waterfall trail is really spectacular. It was very busy with Cruise Ship Tour Excursions the day we visited the forest. Many people DO NOT follow the "no trash" at the waterfall, and it is really unfortunate, because it is a pristine forest. The helpful docent at the Visitor's Center helped me find a few things to do with... More

The three of us walked through a portion of the El Yunque Rain Forest that is located on the northeastern part of Puerto Rico. The scenery is spectacular and should not be missed. The paths weave around water falls, trees, and jungle flora, and often follow a river. We would like to return.

El Yunque is very well laid out. You can easily drive to the top. There are several information stops along the road through the rainforest with beautiful views and hiking opportunities. Fun place to go while in Puerto Rico.

We went a day that had no cruises in port and we went around 10:00am so there was a lot of people but not so bad. The hiking was amazing with great views. Loved the hike two La mina waterfall was great. The kids went to swim in it and loved it. It was one of our best days in... More

We drove from San Juan to the reception centre for the forest. The way is reasonably well marked, though initially when you leave the main highway the road is rough and does not look promising. Don't let that deter you as it soon picks up and the trip is worth the time it takes to get there. The centre charges... More

We have. I sited El Yunque on several occasions. The scenery is beautiful with all types of flora and fauna. There are numerous waterfalls throughout the park. If you go high enough you will see the Sierra Palms which are great. Definitely worth the drive from Old San Juan. Very few places compare!!!

Lush forest about 1 hour drive from San Juan. Best to check out the waterfall and the small pool of water. Surprisingly very little bugs during our visit in January. Great facilities in a national forest
