We did a horseback ride down to this beach (got there through a dried up river bed through the forest/jungle). Really beautiful, once in a lifetime experience.

Entrance is easy to miss, we parked along main road and there's a 5 min walk down a sand path to the beach. Very small and quiet, but quite pretty. Can't spend hours there though, more of a quick excursion for photos.

Gorgeous beach, rocky a little at the cliffs, so be careful. You would have to walk almost 10-15 mins thru the jungle to get to it, but it was worth it. Horses are in the jungle and at the beach.

A little difficult to find near the Gallery. Be prepared to walk, so wear some comfortable walking shoes because sand gets hot. The sand is very heavy if you are planning on bringing some back make sure its dry because of airport security.

The black sand was interesting, but the ocean is VERY rough here and the walk down (and back up) made it not worth while for us.

This is the most unique beach on the island - the sand is so soft and full of minerals, and it is far enough out of the way that it isn't full of tourists. When we went, it was just us, one other couple, and six wild horses. My favorite beach experience on the island!

There is a small hike to this very private beach, but worth it to see the black sand. Ask for directions at your hotel

Once you find the entrance it's about a 7-10 minute walk to the beach, I walked it by myself without any issues. The beach is beautiful and a great spot to relax for a few moments and grab some pictures. I wouldn't spend more than an hour or two here because it's kind of small and when I went it... More

It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the main road to the beach and it's totally worth the walk. The black sand was something different than what you would normally see at a beach. The landscape is excellent for photos.
