It's not easy to get to this beach. You have to walk down a creepy sandy path that must be 1/2 to 3/4 mile long. It's kind of interesting walk in an eerie way. You come across a hill with a bunch of holes in...More

This is a great trail for anyone to enjoy! You'll have to leave your car/cart/buggy by the road and you'll see some locally made signs pointing the way, into the vegetation and towards the beach. The hike won't last 10 minutes but it's well worth...More

We "hiked" along the coast from Coconut Beach. Not easy at some points as the tide was pretty high and rocks and cliffs but so worth it! It was an adventure and took about an hour from that point to get to Playa Negra. Really...More

It takes about 10+ minutes to get to the actual beach but it's worth it. You go through what looks like a dried creek under a canopy of trees. When else are you going to see a black sand beach? Go for it! Even if...More

This is a tough beach to find, and you'll miss if if you're not paying attention! There's signs on a fence stating "Playa Negra" or something along those lines. Pack light, it's about a 1/4-1/2 mile hike along a path to get there (great path...More
