Only a 15 min drive from Mount Pelee you can find Gorges des Falaise and can highly recommend it for those looking for a little adventure and arsenide rush. It is an activity for people of all ages but you do have to be able to have a reasonable level of fitness/agility for the trek down, through the ravine and... More

Staff are super friendly here, and you really get to do something special, it is very safe and fun, walking through water waist up. The guides are very kind - i wish it had gone on for longer!

This is an absolute must for anybody fond of nature. You walk 15 min down to a river, there a guide leads you thru a walk in the river up to a fantastic waterfall. The best is the actual walk/climb in the river, lots of fun (especially for our 7-year old son) as you have to climb ladders and jump... More

We came across Les Gorges after talking to some people we met after hiking Mt. Pelee. They had just come from Les Gorges de la Falaise and recommended it to us. We went there the next day. It was kinda hard to find - not great signage, so look closely. We arrived in the morning, around 10 o'clock. Missed the registration... More

I worked on a cruise ship for 6 months and saw tons of cool places and this was definitely one of the highlights! If you are prepared to descend (and later ascend) a million steps to get to the start of the hike you will love it! You will work your way up the river with water sometimes up to... More

This was the highlight of our trip -- a beautiful, somewhat difficult hike down a gorge and into and under a waterfall. The first part is downhill but steep. There are stairs to bring you down, as well as handrails, but the stairs are uneven (because they are made with the help of nature) and pretty big. You will definitely... More

We decide to visit this place because we saw pictures online. The place is very impressive and we do recommend it to visit. To get there is like a 30 minutes drive from Saint Pierre. There road is in very good conditions even for a tiny car like the Opel Corsa. There are also good road signs. The entrance costs... More

The waterfall isn't very impressive or extraordinary, the way to get there is the biggest surprise. Leave all your things in the car, otherwise you'll have to leave it unsecured at the bottom of the stairs. After you pay the entrance fee (7 euro), you'll have to descent some high steps (you'll feel it much harder when you have to... More

Les Gorges de la Falaise was recommended to us by a local as the best place to "see something amazing." This trip is one of the few that earns the term "breathtaking," as splashing around behind or through the waterfall literally made me gasp for air a few times! Definitely the highlight of our road trip around the northern part... More

The Gorges de la Falaise is the only waterfall on Martinique where you have to pay an entrance fee but it's worth it. You will have to go down into a valley first where a guid is waiting. He will then show you the waterfall. Therefore you have to swim through passages and climb up ladders until you reach this... More
