Perfect for exploring when all the stores are closed in Fort-de-France because of the Carnaval.
Mar. 2019
When we came in the Martinique, most of the stores were closed because of the Carnaval. We were stuck.

We found the Vedettes Tropicales. We went every day to one place and by the end we had visited all the beaches and towns.

The Vedettes Tropicales was worthwhile, as all the other places were open. Only in Fort-de-France most of the places were closed.

So we had our own fun, thanks to Vedettes Tropicales.

Thank you for bringing us to different places.

A must see!

What an easy, fun way to travel to the south of the island! Take a trip to Anse Mitan or explore the Kreole Village and beaches of Point do Bout with just a 15 minute boat ride from Fort-De-France. Both inside and outside seating available. Show up at the dock, and hop on the boat. The signs are clearly marked and the schedules are posted on the pier. The boat operators take both cash and credit cards. Only 7 Euros round trip!

Fast

We travelled by this company between Fort-de-France and Pointe du Bout. Travel time is pretty short, around 15-20 minutes and it costs 4 EUR per person for one way and 7 EUR per person for a return trip. Boats are clean, staff is nice enough. Ticket can be purchased on the boat and they accept credit card as well.

On strike

On strike all week we visited. No service, no signage and nothing on their website. It was good last year.

If you just want to enjoy the beach on your cruise stop the best way to get there at 7 Eur round trip
Feb. 2019 • Family
Depending where your cruise docks is a 5 to 15 min walk and is one of the easiest and fastest way to get to a good beach or to the Trois Islet area. 7 resp 4 euro round trip for adult/child 10-15 min to get there. Take a photo to the schedule so that you know when to come back and count that in cruise days the shuttles get busy as the cruise departure time is approaching. Good that they have some larger faster new boats in use compared to small boats they had 3-4 years back.
Check for which side of the island you want to go.
For good snorkeling hit Point du but and get on the small beach straight ahead once you disembark. Don`t get yourself confused by the size of the beach as the rocks at its end hide a lot of fish. Count this spot is very popular with locals especially during week ends.
Anse Mitan has larger beach direct deep water but less snorkeling opportunities unless you are not heading further side but sometimes there are many big star fish to be seen there too.
Both these places offer very nice view over Fort de France and the mountains behind it.
For the price is really an excellent transportation mode and gets you quick access to beach without paying the high land taxi fees.

Use someone else.

Save your money or use a different company. We have been pushed and pulled due to the chaos of people trying to get back to the cruise port. The staff did nothing to help. We have 2 young children and one was very upset. The staff of this company are an embarrassment. This is my first ever review on trip adviser and i never founf a reason to complain before so this company has excelled itself.

On the Bay

A pleasant and convenient way to admire scenic Fort de France Bay and to join La Pointe du Bout or Les 3 Ilets. Ships are well maintained and the crew is efficient and attentive. Fair prices.

Quick and Easy Trip Across the Bay
Apr. 2018 • Friends
Very quick and easy 15-20 minute boat ride to get to the beach at Point du Bout and other areas across the bay. Every single day! A nice way of getting to the other side of Fort-de-France Bay without the hassle of vehicular traffic!

Quick and easy
Mar. 2018 • Couples
We are staying in Pointe du Bout and have taken the ferry at least three or four times across the bay to Fort-de-France. Very easy: lots of departures during the day, 5 euro one way / 7 euros round-trip. About 15-20 minutes from Pointe du Bout to Fort-de-France. You buy your tickets on the boat. Always a nice crossing, with pleasant staff and lots of seats. There are several other ferries - one to Anse Mitan (about ten minutes' walk from the Trois-Ilets marina), one to the town of Trois-Ilets, and another to Case-Pilote to the north of FdF.

Easy Enough
Feb. 2018 • Couples
Quick boat ride (20 mins) for $7 USD or 7 Euros, round trip, per person from the cruise terminal area over to the beaches (we went to Anse Mitan). Runs half hourly or so, but definitely wasn't quite "on time" and seemed to be around 15 minutes behind all day.
Get there quickly if you're coming off the cruise ships, as the boats clearly aren't unlimited space.
