We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this garden. We were traveling independently in Martinique but had no trouble driving to the gardens ourselves (parking can be a bit tight though). The entry fee (13.50 EUR for adults) is a bit steep compared to other things in the area but it's completely worth it and includes the treetop walk... More

Both times we went to Martinique on the ship it was raining. The gardens were fabulous and lovely even though it was very wet it was well worth a trip. Great to see the hummingbirds as well. Very enjoyable visit.

A little tricky to drive to this place, but well worth the effort, les jardins de balata are beautiful. Bring your camera and experience the terraced gardens, a tree top walk, beautiful flowers and birds. The hummingbirds are delightful!

We really liked this garden. Small but has plenty of things to see. Highlight was humming birds near the entrance! We went to Saint Pierre after. Nice way to combine 2 attractions.

What a beautiful place! The flowers were so gorgeous they seemed unreal. In addition, the views shouldn't be missed. I spent much more time there than I had expected. I took many pictures. There is a canopy walk that you can take, which was worth the short line. There is a snack bar there, with some substantial snacks at good... More

We wanted to tour the gardens but did not want to pay $119.95 each for the ship tour. Based on TA reviews, we found bus #25 after some ado. Ask for directions to the cemetery, it's a 10 minute walk. Most locals do not speak English but are very helpful! Once you find the bus, a round trip ticket is... More

The garden is perfectly maintained with the name of all the trees and flowers, as well as their origin. A walk among the pathes reflects the beauty of the nature and walking above the canopy of the trees is an unforgettable experience without any danger. The only problem is that there isn't any toilet available in the hole park, except... More

A must visit when traveling to Martinique. Easy to access, either by car, local bus or tour group of course. It is a well rated site, but actually visiting, it appears that this is an understatement. It is an oasis in its own kind in its purest form. Extremely well managed, organized and maintained. Just too much to mention, except... More

These botanic gardens are beautiful and interesting. Set on the side of morne rouge, there are spots for panoramic views of the hills through curated tropical gardens. We went in early March, and while others were disappointed in the last of flowers in the winter, I felt there were plenty of flowers, and foliage in general was fascinating. Highlights are... More
