Our ship docked at Fort De France and I had read other reviews prior saying the same negative things as my title...should have listened and relaxed on boat...come off the boat and had to walk through a market where everyone had the best price for you...lol..try bargaining they did not want to budge until we came back through and were... Fort-de-France is a bustling town where the young and hip hang out. It’s a old and modern city as well with great architecture. The road of the Trace towards Morne Rouge takes you to a different sode of Martinique.

This is a great place if you are looking for something local or souvenirs to bring back home or to eat some awesome food in one of their restaurant. This was a horrible excursion. Tour guide was rude and her English was very bad. It was a bus tour and the speakers didn't work on the back of the bus so very hard to hear! So when someone asked a question, the tour guide said I already explain it.

We were on a cruise (NCL Pearl) and one port of call was the island of Martinique. The country is beautiful and compared to other Caribbean islands the roads are incredible. Unfortunately this beautiful place is occupied by some very rude people. They are still very French, if you take my meaning. Don't expect much better that a "whatever" attitude... More
