Thank you, Wonder in Nature, for giving my family such an enriching experience that impacted not only our bodies but our minds and taste buds. We had a cool walk/hike through the estate, cool because of the canopy of trees including a variety of mango trees, which my family love, that kept us cool because really it was a hot day. The estate has a rich history which fascinated us and literally blew our minds as we got to see and learn about old sugar cane machinery dating back to the 1400s. We also got to see and learn of the tour guide’s passion for farming and food. The children were especially appreciative of the tour as they got to plant a lime tree and name it too, a sweet memory I’m sure. All in all this was an amazing tour, guided by Anja, who was able to engage my little people to participate for which I am grateful. I am especially grateful that she did not find our children’s questions and tasting request to be too endless and exhausting. She facilitated them by picking some of the fruit on the estate whenever possible. She also provided us with extra drinking water which was a huge accommodation for us. At the end of our 3 hour tour, we all got to feast on some local treats including the varieties of mangoes and coconut found on the estate. Thanks Anja for making this day special for my family.

We found this amazing half day trip whilst on holiday in St Lucia to watch the Cricket World Cup in March. Not being one to laze on beaches all day ATV Paradise Tours was perfect and is highly recommended! Based in the South of the Island near Micoud, on the Fond Estate, ATV Paradise Tours is run by a friendly Belgian ex-pat. The tour on these massive 4 x 4 quad bike like things takes you through plantation, rainforest and to the beach over a period of 3-4 hours. We were able to swim in the river in the rainforest and try fresh grapefruit and a wax apple straight from the trees in the plantation - simply delicious - before driving along the beach - great fun!! It cost in the region of $80 but was money well spent and the trip down from the north was well worth it. Up to 4 or 5 people at a time can go.

I was travelling solo to Saint Lucia in November and wanted to see more of the Atlantic side of the Island so I decided to book a tour with ATV PARADISE TOURS (info@atvstlucia.com).

I arranged a transfer with Fabians Tours to take me to Micoud on the East side of the Island as they don`t arrange transfers. This cost $120 from Rodney Bay and the driver waited and took me back to my Hotel. (Taxis can be a bit expensive due to fuel prices on the Island).

There is no need to bring your driving licence. The quad bikes ,are fully automatic, (no experience required).
I was given a Helmet, goggles and saftey briefing and we set off.

We went through trails in the Rain Forest, through a working Plantation, we stopped and tasted the fruits, swam in the River and went to the beach, got muddy and it was so fantastic.

It was a pleasant surprise as a native to experience the bliss that this tour had to offer. It's not everyday you get a chance to traverse through lands of historic value by means of AWESOME machines!! Riding the ATV was exhilarating and our tour guide, Anja, was great at adjusting the pace of the ride to our various skill levels. She was very informative, friendly and kind. There is no food on sale, but hey, who buys food with all the free samples of delicious fruit along the way!! Overall, the experience was wonderful, fun and relaxed....definitely a must-do while vacationing in Saint Lucia!!!

This was the first time on an ATV excursion. We did this excursion during our visit to St. Lucia in late June 2012. My girlfriend and I decided we wanted our own ATV instead of driving tandem. At first it feels like you might tip over when on uneven ground but we caught on very quickly on how to maneuver the ATV. It was really cool to drive on the beach while the waves crash against the shore. Some hills were extremely steep but the tour guides were good on making sure everyone was getting through okay and didn't fall behind.

The only issue we had is one of our bikes broke down and had to ride tandem until the bike was replaced.

Recommendation:
1. Take the early morning trip as it gets really hot around 11am.
2. Bring a bandana to tie around your face as it does get dusty as you are following other ATVs.
3. Bring money for tips.

Overall was an exciting way to see the rural parts of St. Lucia.

Though off the beaten path (and that's why we chose it), it is well worth the drive. Kurt (owner/operator/tour guide) takes you through the 1100 acre working plantation. Eat fresh guava, mangos and star fruit right off the trees, go through the rain forest and end up at Kurt's oasis at the river where you can swim and rope swing etc... Smaller groups, he does not advertise on the cruise ships, more word of mouth. The ride was mellow but challenging enough to be fun.

My associate and I went and both had a great time, it was just us and Kurt. Be careful he will almost convince you to throw in the towel and move to the islands. For info see www.atvstlucia.com or [--]

My wife and I had never ridden any type of motorbike and this was by far the most fun we’ve had on any trip. What a place this is. Great views, great location, tremendous elevation changes natural beauty and Kurt was a super tour guide. If you have reasonable coordination this is a must do while you're in St Lucia. If we ever go back to St. Lucia we will be calling on Kurt to take us on this trip again. WOW WOW WOW

Kurt took our party and only our party on a private tour of the plantation complete with a swim at a river hideaway that he has cleaned up. Rope swing and everything. We toured this working plantation, sampled the fruits being grown and rode the ATV's.
Everyone in our group had a wonderful time and I would recommend this tour to anyone. We had to be 18 to ride so our daughter and her friend were passengers. Price was fair. Do bring cash for the tour, no credit cards accepted.

A fantastic excursion on ATV bike...travelled on ATV with my wife on the back (she wasn't keen on driving her own machine...but the machines are powerful / comfortable enough for two). You travel quite high into the plantation up the side of a mountain & ford a small river. Then travel back down to the coast to a deserted beach.
Our guide Kurt was very knowledgeable about the fruits & fauna of the scenic countryside. On the whole, a great day out & well worth the effort of traveling to this less touristy side of the island.

The ATV Paradise tour starts by touring a working fruit plantation, then goes up into the rain forest to a beautiful river with a scenic little waterfall and a 10 foot deep pool that you can swim in. The ride ends at scenic honeymoon beach. Fantastic scenery and great fun!
