This beach is lovely and clean and fairly quiet. There is a very narrow bumpy road leading to the beach, which is not for the feint hearted! We ate lunch there at the burger shack, which was delicious.

This beach is a short 10-15 minute walk from the main beach at Anse Chastenet. To get there, take the road next to Hummingbird Beach Resort off the main road after you leave (or before you enter, if coming the other way) Soufriere. The road...More

Great beach..much better than Sugar Beach (Viceroy). Water is clear. Lots of snorkeling. Scuba shop there too for all your needs. Nice Restaurant/Bar too. Will return.

Really quiet, great cafe, shady spots to sit. A 10 minute walk from Anse Chastenet but worth it. Spent a lovely day there.

We stayed in Soufrier village and read quite a few reviews about this beach before going. It seemed to us after our visit that some of the reviews gave a weird impressionof the place. We had our own car so we drove up the road...More

You need to drive to Anse Chastanet which can be a fairly rough and slow road, and that beach is quite nice in itself (however can get very busy). From the beach walk north about 10min and you'll see it. Fairly quiet, good food and...More

North of Soufriere, there are another 2 beaches: Anse Chastenet Beach and Anse Mamin Beach. You can walk or swimming from Anse Chastenet Beach to Anse Mamin Beach. This is a good snorkeling spot, but you can not see the pitons, because they are blocked...More

My wife and I went in the morning on a Tuesday and practically had the whole beach to ourselves. There is not a dock here, so the excursion boats with other tourists and the like don't directly come to this beach. It was very quiet...More

We r taking a cruising including St. Lucia and Martinique, my reason for going. My main interest is Josephine Bonaparte. Can anyone tell me what remains of the Malmaison plantation in St, Lucia, location, etc., and whatever (museum, etc.) pertains to her in Martinique. Cannot find much info. Thank you.

The Jungle biking company at Anse Mamin are separate to the resort. They have changing rooms, lockers etc. The riding is fun, quite easy (unless you take on the 'Olympic run') and educational.
Can you go here without a guide? We will have a car and like to explore on our own. Thanks!

If you had no answers, I would have typed an answer very similar to Carolyn G's. We stayed at a B&B very close to this beach so driving was not a problem. But we did drive the entire island during our one week visit and I... More
