Fun stop for Rum

This is a fun place to visit even though I'm not convinced Rum is still made there. Interesting to see and try some of the Rum.

Stay away. Tourist trap. Very hard to believe this actually produces rum but they say it does. Taxi cabs love to take you here so they can rack up the fees. Taxi's must get kick backs for taking you here. Also .. I bought their panty peeler rum and drank it with several women and I did not get the... More

We drove up to the distillery, dirt parking lot, lots of refuse about. This spot should not be listed on Trip Advisor as a place to go. There is nothing there.

Place is historic and very rustic. Rum is not that good, compared to others like Pusser's or Mount Gay or Cruzan.

We stopped in for a tour just down the beach from our hotel on Cane Garden Bay, managing to arrive right between taxis full of tourists for a private walk around. This is a historic location dating back over hundreds of years of rum production. The tour itself was pretty short with not a whole lot to see, but the... More

Okay let me start this review with the fact that I am a rum snob. I've been to a few distilleries around the Carribean and this is a very small but friendly place. They have 4 different types of rum that they give you a tasting of and at least two of the rooms are pretty good. The people there... More

If you love rum, history, or you just want to look in to island life this is the spot. My wife and I took a open air Taxi truck from the cruise port to Cane Garden Bay for some beach time. I had been researching this stop for about 3 months prior to our cruise and the one place that... More

If you are a rum lover, you may go there to get a shot or two. If rum is not your thing, you may skip the trip. The place is old, but not well kept. The smell is overpowering. I don't mind the smell from the rum. The smell is coming from the stagnant water nearby.

While there is not much to see in the actual distillation process, anyone who is visiting the west end of Tortola (Smuggler's Cove Beach, Cane Garden Beach, etc.) should take a few minutes to visit this distillery if you at all like rum. For a mere $1, you receive sample tastes of their four rums and the 10-year aged rum... More

This is one of a kind...but if you are in Cane Garden Bay...you ought to see it. Four tastes for a $1.00 and reasonable prices for bottles of produced on site rum, which is quite good. Was about 100 yards from our cottage's front door and we visited when the still was producing. It's been here when all of CGB... More
