My experience was nice. Have no real complaints. The interior bar is open on one trip and closed for the other. Very inconsistent. Otherwise it's fine. Reminds me of the subs in NYC when the captain is speaking :)

We attempted to take a ferry from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda, via Road Town, on Smith's. The gate agents were rude right off the bat in St. Thomas, and the baggage handler shook his hand for a tip, which I probably would have provided...More

We always enjoy taking the Native Son. The ferry is quick, cheap and clean. The staff is friendly. We ended up having to take the Tortola Fast Ferry on the way to Tortola, I would not recommend that one!

Nothing fancy but they do help you on and off the Ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola. Nice ride and love being on the Ocean. Note, small children, might get sick if too rough of seas.

this company has gone one way... DOWN HILL! They do not run the ferry service as they promote on their website and other media. Boats are late or no service, consistently, according to my experience, and all the locals

Ok the ferry is fast, but its also hot and bumpy. # out 6 in traveling party got sick as the cabins for ferry which you must stay in are not air conditioned. 1 of party did not get sick as she took her medicine.

There are plenty of taxis for individuals but you could order a car if you are concerned. We were part of a group and had a van waiting for us at the airport. Once in Tortola it was a free for all. Everyone crowded in a... More

The schedule may be published online. But that is probably aspirational. You may need to go to the terminal early and figure it out. Give yourself some extra time -- maybe a day. The schedule is also seasonal.
