Great day trip from St John

We traveled from St John and had the trails to ourselves. The path through the boulders was fun and even a little challenging. What a great outing!

Great spot to see some really incredible geological formations and swim. Best approach is by tender and use one of the mooring buoys, there is no way to be dropped off on the beach. You can also come by cab and hike down a trail after buying a ticket but the lines can get long if later in the day... More

Arrive when there is not too many tourists other wise you will not enjoy the experience. An amazing place to visit down a track which took about 10min slow walk. Be careful of your footings in the gourda baths. A few minor boulders you need to negotiate but manageable for all ages

Set your expectations right. Go early or suffer with the "less than agile" cruise passengers. Stop whining. It is a must see in any conditions. If you are adventurous you can find alternative paths around the baths.

We went to Virgin Gorda from Tortola while on a cruise. The cruise ship docked at 7 am and we walked to Speedy's Ferry landing and purchased tickets for the 7:45 am departure. The price was around $38 each and included the land transportation on Virgin Gorda to and from The Baths. After a 30 boat ride through the islands,... More

Agree with PJS890. Couldn't have said it better myself as we experienced the exact same thing. Would love to see it again but under much less crowded circumstances.

We hiked down to the Baths and Devil's Cay about 4:30pm on our first day in Tortola. Be warned, the path is a little strenuous and is not navigable for people with health restrictions. It can be a bit treacherous, but nothing crazy. The views are awesome! The beach you reach at the end is so beautiful and made for... More

I would agree that this is something to see, but when you are on a cruise ship and a couple hundred people stop to see it at the same time, it's a bit of a problem. The beach area was absolutely beautiful but way too many people on it at the same time. They also did a poor job explaining... More

Just as spectacular as I recall. The "hike" through the Baths still captivates. For the elderly or those with mobility issues, it can be a bit difficult. Worth the effort!

The Baths is an absolutely spectacular experience; you will go through caves on the ocean shore and wind up on a deserted beach at Devils Bay that has no other access. A warning though, it is very crowded at peak hours (10-3), and when a cruise ship is in town. There are often multiple groups of 30 or more trying... More
