While we were not sure what to expect on this tour, we were not disappointed in the end. After spending over 2 hours with Denise, our group gained an insight into the local Caymanian people and culture which came from a direct descendant of one of the founding families. This tour was a refreshing change from the "canned" history you... More

When we turned into the narrow street, between the two upended cannons, we thought that the directions were a mistake. Yet there was the National Trust's Mission House--closed ! We hadn't called 345 749 1123 to check their hours. We decided to roam around anyway, looking at funny brown animals scampering under the black and white house, listening to "I... More

If you are a history buff, then Denise Bodden's tour of Mission House is a must. She is a great grandchild of one of the founding families and her pride in her heritage is very evident. She does an excellent job giving you insight into what life was like for the early settlers. The short film at the beginning of... More

Our tour of the Mission House was so interesting and gave us a clear understanding of the close relationship between the various religions and the history of the island. It is a remarkable story of the house, those who built it and those who lived and worked there.

This was a great way to learn about the history of Cayman! A real hidden gem! We really enjoyed the tour by the founding family's great grandchild and it gave us a greater appreciation for Cayman culture. We took a road trip around the island and are so lad we stopped here! Highly recommend!

My family toured the Mission House on a Thursday in early June. We all enjoyed the tour, the knowledgeable guide and her mother. I like historical sites and tours and learning more about where we vacation, but everyone in the family (myself, my husband, and two sons, 17 and 20) enjoyed this visit. We all learned a lot and talked... More

A must stop for history buffs, the staff at Mission House, especially Denise Bodden, are talkative and friendly. Learn about the three families of Mission House and their contributions to Cayman history. Though the property is not as expansive or picturesque as Pedro St. James, the guided tour at Mission House more than makes up for it. Don't miss this... More

This is a wonderful way to learn about the island, its early settlers, why it has some of the customs it has, etc. Please make a stop here, just to say you did something other than the beach! The lovely woman who took me on my tour is actually a descendant of one of the original island families. Plus, there's... More

Went to Mission House on the same day we went to Pedro St James. Although we'd been to Pedro St James before this was the first time at Mission House. We had the last tour of the day, and while I agree it is great to wander around somewhere by yourself, the personalised tour was informative and engaging. We had... More

This was a museum that I went to because it is something my girlfriend enjoys. However even she was disappointed, but for good reason. When we first got there, although there was someone in the building the door was locked, an hour after the building was supposed to open. This was despite the fact that she had seen us coming,...
