We went to the speech off season and it was one of the best beaches we've ever been to. The water is crystal clear and nobody bothers you.

We stayed at the Westin so it was a quick walk to Governor's Beach. We went for the snorkeling; saw many different fish. Go visit if you're in the area. Swim out to the second buoy; you won't regret it.

This beach is right off the main drag. It is easy to find. When you pull up and park under a bunch of trees you will see a pretty beach with plenty of shade. It's nice. But then, put the snorkel, mask and fins on...More

We stayed off of 7 mile beach, and with a rental car checked out the entire island during our stay. This was by far the best beach we visited. To the left, at 100 yards is the Ritz Carlton, and other all-inclusive resort, which are...More

We pack a picnic and head out to Governor's Beach for the day while we are in Cayman. It is so peaceful and relaxing! It is a public Beach. I just take my raft and float and never want to leave.

How lpong can you spend on a beach with no facilities? Great giant swimming area that's protected from boat traffic, and, for fit swimmers, a challenging visit to the reef. Maybe bring a paddle board or floatie to get there?

We went to governors beach on a Sunday and it was not too crowded. The water was beautiful and calm. Be sure to bring a blanket or chairs as there are none available. Bring Sunblock the or the rays will get you.

Other beaches have better snorkeling like cemetery beach, smiths cove and Spotts beach. Probably best snorkeling is on the north side, Cayman Kia beach.

There are no rentals there but a blanket or towel to lay on would be fine. We took along with us every day one of the hotels bed covers and kept it in the keep we rented and used that so we would always have something to lay... More
