The Brimstone Hill Fortress is a wonderful stop. It is very large and require a few hours to see everything. It also requires someone to be in reasonable shape as there are lots of steps to climb. My wife stayed in our taxi as she...More

Fascinating historical presentation and preservation. A short video prepares you for the insight needed to take a self guided tour. Presents an interesting look at life for an 18th century British soldier. All with the backdrop of a stunning panoramic vista of the Caribbean and...More

Brimstone Hill Fortress is a must see when visiting St Kitts. We have enjoyed visiting forts on many Caribbean islands. This is our favorite. They’ve done a great job with the restoration and the views are amazing.

It is our opinion that every visitor with perhaps the exception of very young kids should visit this Fortress. We stopped here as part of our guided island tour but our guide did not go in with us. It appeared he did pay something at...More

We stopped here as part of our tour with Royston. I'm not much of a fort person, but this place was amazing. So huge and beautifully preserved. Very interesting. As our guide said, they are lucky to have such a place. We were very lucky...More

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when I saw that Brimstone was a World Heritage Site, but the visit made me a believer. The facility is quite well maintained, but the history explanations of the fort and its military significance and actions should...More

The British really knew how to build a fort. A bit of a climb up the steps, but a great view and interesting facility.

Being a World Heritage Site is pretty rare. And to find one in the Caribbean is rarer still! It is absolutely incredible the amount of work that went into this Fortress back "in the day", for what ended up being, no real reason. But I...More

Husband, Mom, and I confirm that the British Brimstone Hill Fortress is well worth a visit. Built during the 1600s and occupied by British forces until 1852, this UNESCO World Heritage Site provides amazing vistas of the surrounding grassy slopes of the island and the...More

Outstanding experience, touring an historic site on the north end of St Kitts. Walking up the steps to the fort is doable, even for septuagenarians. The views are hard to describe they are so overwhelming.

I would either take an excursion or get off the ship and at the end of the pier get a tour or taxi. The sit is far end of island and way up a hill, mountain, so give yourself enough time to get back to the ship. I would... More

I'm not sure where the bus stop is as we rented scooters, but if the stop is at the main road it is a long and very steep road. Also, even if you are dropped off where you pay it is still an effort to get to the top. If... More
