Beach was Busy and Crowded

We took a public taxi to get to this beach during a port stop on our cruise. The taxi was $7pp each way (reasonable fare) though I had to sit with my eyes closed most of the way as I thought our driver was going too fast on the very hilly and winding roads. The beach was a total disappointment:... More

Beach was overcrowded, chairs are in poor condition. However the water is wonderful and you can snorkel at the far end where there are a lot of rocks for fish to hide.

We stopped here at the end of a tour, it's a beautiful quiet beach. I would like to spend more time here on my next visit

My family recently stopped at Cockleshell beach while on a cruise. We were disappointed at this beach. If this is one of the best beaches on St Kitts then I'd prefer to go to another island. this beach was overly crowded. I was would be careful where I ate as many of the places just didn't look very good. We... More

A beautiful, quiet beach. We took a taxi ride from our ship ($7 each way) and spent the day here. We kept to the middle, away from the busier areas on either end of the strip. Two chairs and an umbrella were only $10 and the drinks were reasonably priced as well($2 for a 12 oz. beer and $5 for... More

Beautiful beach with a selection of bars who can organise the sun loungers. Can be very busy if there are a lot of tourist boats in. Best to check and go early or avoid. We spent time at the Spice Mill where the service was excellent. Good for snorkelling. Lots of activities available.

This is pure tranquility and joy. Beautiful, calm, quiet area with clear cool waters. No developments, a rustic bar and sugar sand. An idyllic place to spend endless summers. The trade winds continually caress you, with hints of sleep, and the ubiquitous monkeys entertain. But beware never leave your drinks unattended, or they will be spirited away by simian hands.

Second visit here and again was not disappointed, great sand and clear sea, just one piece of advise, walk through the reggae bar and you will see a jetty, there is a shack which is also the bar, but the beers are half the price there and the sun beds are cheaper, yet the food is good at the Reggae... We were on a cruise ship and found a taxi near the dock. About $23.00 each way for six while sharing a van. The ride was beautiful. I didn't catch the taxi name, our driver was Solomon. Very nice gent, let us stop for pictures on the way. Watch out for the guy with the monkey. He gets three bucks... More
