Romney Manor was the great house for a plantation that was once owned by a distant relative of Thomas Jefferson.It was acquired by the Earl Of Romney and is known for freeing all of its slaves in 1834. The gardens consist of a mix of tropical plants and European gardening style.

Romney Manor is a historical plantation that has been turned into a batik workshop employing local residents. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the batik process is interesting to see.

Stunning tropical gardens a must see & the Caribelle Batik shop is worth a visit too for gorgeous sarongs & clothing etc.

This was part of our excursion off our ship, not sure what kind if botanical gardens this was....seemed like a small backyard garden. We saw some pretty flowers but really couldn't see any nice views people talked about. The store made some beautiful dresses and showed you how they paint them and the process. That was interesting. We walked around for about 10 minutes before our tour guide split up our group to go off on another adventure. I absolutely love flowers and gardens and found this was boring and not much to see or learn about here.…
