Nice Clock in the middle of an intersection.

We enjoyed going into town and seeing this but it wasn't spectacular. I did love the downtown and felt very safe.

Characterful centre of the capital where culturally popular buildings abound. Well worth a visit and it is not too far out of the way - it's a place to be wandered throughout. Fantastically colourful throughout - go see it and experience the true character if the island.

The Circus is dominated by an impressive Victorian Clock in the middle of the round about. At one time in its past it also served as a water fountain.

In the center of town across from the Museum, this is a traffic circle representation of Big Ben. Small shops and restaurants surround the town center. Tour and taxi operators abound there.

This once was a true centre, the collection of garish, seen on every Caribbean island tourist shops now built between the town and the cruise ship terminal detracts from what was a proud structure in pride of place. It remains fine as a feature, sad the surrounds have changed.

This is where you see real culture of St Kitts. There is not much in the way of shops or sites that visitors would want to see but it does have the historic clock and at that round about is where you can also acquire a taxi. $12 to the Marriott in cash each way for a taxi.

This was a nice place to see as it was fashioned after the bell tower and buildings of London. Nice stop.

the old circus has been relieved of its centrality to Basseterre since the new cruise ship terminal was built and incoming visitors are no longer routed to the circus and the center of town

When walking around Basseterre, you will find this century+ old clock in the center of a traffic circle with government buildings around it. Take a couple of minutes to enjoy it and think of all the history this clock has seen.
