while I love this island in 2016 the mooring bouy which the park rangers gave to us burst and we hit another boat. after that we vowed to use our anchor safely. in 2017 unfortunately you are unable to use your anchor which I am all for in a bid to save the reef but the mooring bouys still have... This little island in the main bay of the island of Carriacou is a perfect beach destination. It was picturesque and quiet. We went with Arawak Divers and all had a great time- kids, snorkelers, scuba divers, and sun worshippers :) Highly recommended.

In Carriacou Paradise Beach is the longest beach on the island and worth a visit. At the far end of the beach is where you can find a boat ride to Sandy Isle off shore. For $40EC one of he local fishermen will take over to the island and pick you up at an agreeable time. the trip takes about... More

Sandy Island is a beautiful spot with decent snorkeling. The best spot is on the right of the island as you face it from the water. The challenge I faced was getting into the boat from the beach. It was very high up to climb onto the bow and my knees got scraped. There are other water taxis that make... More

If you are visiting Carraicou and enjoy snorkelling then this small sandy island is worth the 5 minute boat ride. Nothing on the island but lovely sand and clear blue waters. You can watch the hermit crabs on land or swim and admire the various species of fish. Choose your path carefully into the sea as there are rocks with... More

Lovely beach, very quiet, great for Snorkelling. be careful of where you swim as the north end of the island has a lot of spinney sea urchins which really hurt when trodden on. Stay to the centre of the island.

Cost $15US per person from Paradise Beach from Hard Wood Bar water taxi. The beach was nice and had a picnic table there. Tidal pool to see some fishes but the snorkelling was a little rough the water and didn't see much fish. But we thought we would be by our selves but some yacht people came to snorkel about... More

This small, uninhabited island off Carriacou seems to be a popular stopover for sailboats, windjammers, and people looking for good snorkeling. If you go ashore you can explore the whole island in five minutes. There are no amenities of any kind on the island: no shelter, no fresh water, no toilets. There are also no trash receptacles, and some slobs... More

Hire a water taxi from the Hardwood Bar on Paradise Beach and head over to Sandy Island , it's a beautiful spot with lovely clear water and good snorkelling. There are no amenities here so bring a picnic and enjoy a day on a desert island !!
