The people who work fine Denny's are lovely, otherwise I would give this one star. The lock on our room door was broken. There's no hot water. The food is abysmal. Denny is subject to unpredictable mood swings. The view is lovely. You need to make your own arrangements for side trips as Denny is not predictable. Consider skipping Mayreau... More

This is a cute, comfortable tiki hut type bar a bit up the hill from the Combination Cafe. The bar is well-stocked and there are always lots of people there. The owner, Dennis, is a kind, tall man who will greet you from his seat when you arrive and offer it to you when it gets crowded. Later in the... More

The owner, the place and food! We stayed 2 nights and was quite hard to leave this cozy place to Union. Prepare for lots of good stories, fresh fish and nice beach!

Dennis is a great host! Went in the low season Aug 2015. He is also the chef and a great cook. Place is basic, but rooms very clean and decent beds. Has AC and Wifi which was great. He will prepare dinner for you each evening which is lovely and delicious. You have to "want to get away" to come... More

We spent 5 days at Dennis. It is a really beautiful spot, very clean, friendly staff and owner. We have expected a lot less comfort on such an small island far away from the "mainland". The chef prepares very delicious food and Dennis has a very good recept for rum punch. The Tobago cays which are only a short boat... More

We were sailing on the Island Windjammers Diamant and stopped at Mayreau. It was the first stop on the famous cultural pub crawl and just so happened to be the last stop on our tour. Once passengers of the ship got in the pool it was decided the night had to come to an end. We had some drinks which... More

Although Mayreau is a nice place for a day visit, we don't have good memories of Dennis Hideaway., including Dennis himself. First of all, Dennis Hideasway is located uphill in a village surrounded by residential houses and a long (!) walk from the beach. Compared to all other places we stayed at in the Carribean, this was the worst hotel... More

There are a few problems with Dennis' Hideaway, not least Dennis himself. He was welcoming enough when we arrived but when we refused to go on a boat trip to Tobago Cays with him (because he was asking an outrageous $US240 for the 15 minute trip) he got grumpy with us and more or less refused to speak to us... I recently visited the beautiful island of Mayreau and stayed at Dennis'. We were disappointed to find that Dennis was away. We were welcomed by Justin and a great staff. The room was nicer than we had expected. Clean and comfortable right down to the monogrammed beach towels! While Mayreau does not boast any shopping (except t shirts) there are... More

It was in 1993 that we sailed from teh Netherlands to the West Indies. The best memories we have from Mayreau by Dennis. In 2005 we come again with our boat Nirvana.
