The Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust was founded in 1966. We are a national, not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to Environmental Education, Public Awareness and the research, breeding and re-introduction into the wild of locally endangered waterfowl species and other wetland birds. As an inland, freshwater habitat encompassing approximately 32 hectares and 2 lakes, we are uniquely situated within a major petro-chemical and oil-refining complex, making it the only one in the world.

There are lots of birds and trees to peak ones interest.The ponds, lilies, walkways are well kept.There are a variety of fruit trees, including akee.The staff is very knowledgeable and there are books on sale in the office area.

The wildfowl trust tour takes you on beautiful nature walk around two lakes where peacocks, wild fowls, scarlet ibis and other creatures are in abundance.

this place is a little gem in the grounds of an oil refinery- brilliant amount of bird species very peaceful with walks to do. Lovely and also great value for money- worth the trip about an hour from POS I'm a taxi.

I am not a nature person but it was quite nice to see all the different types of birds. At the entrance you encounter magnificent peacocks strutting around freely. I did not like the snake exhibit though but others in my group did enjoy it.
