Castara Bay is where to go to get the real Caribbean vibe, a traditional fishing village where the tourists blend in with the locals even helping to haul in the catch if the day. We loved our holiday based at this village. Lots of places...More

We stopped in here on a private tour, looking for some fresh fish to bbq. The fisherman happened to be coming in off the boats at the time we arrived with buckets of Mahi Mahi fish which we purchased from them. They filleted it in...More

Visiting Tobago? Come to this beautiful beach with welcoming locals and great vibe. There are plenty of restaurants to visit. We couldn’t find parking when we first arrived and then realised it was over the bridge by the supermarket. Our first day in Tobago and...More

I loved Castara. Stayed at Toad Heights and loved the views. If you want to swim, lounge, eat, walk, and generally kick back in a tiny corner of paradise, go to Castara. Don’t expect resort style amenities. Just be prepared for nature and good food...More

Lovely beach but a bit run down. Spent a couple of hours here but not a lot to do. Wanted to visit a beach bar but the weather although very hot the beach was not accessible as there was 10ft swells.

If you do not make this trip you will miss out on the wonderful nature that Tobago has to offer. This was the highlight of my trip. I discovered an outdoor old fashioned bakery oven, this is in operation on Thursdays and Saturday's. You need...More

-This is a really lovely beach and little village, well worth the hair raising drive to get there. The waves vary a lot, sometimes quite high and other times not. Nice for a stroll

My only qualm about this Bay is the parking facilities or lack thereof. Otherwise this stretch of beach is divine. There are manta rays in this bay - I saw one June 2016 (I always come here everytime I visit Tobago). There are proper toilet...More

Sadly we only stopped here for a short while but hope to return. A beautiful sandy beach, friendly locals, a scattering of bars & restaurants & peace & quiet.
