Gorgeous!

Very beautiful and untouched beach in Tobago. A must visit! Very quiet and serene. Bit of a drive to get there but definitely worth it.

Castara bay is very nice theirs never a lot of people on the beach. The water is crystal clear you may in counter some sting rays swimming by, there harmless. If your looking for a secluded beach this is the one . Also Castara is a fishing village so you may see the fishermen pulling in there fresh Catch of... More

Its a must. One of the best places on the island. The beach is beautiful, the fisherman so friendly, and its totally unspoilt.

This beach is clean, quiet and very beautiful. I went scuba diving here and they have great views of the coral reef.

The beach is great to bathe in and if your lucky enough to be there when the fishermen come in you get fresh fish that they may even cook for you right on the spot!

Authentic - a dreadful term, but this really is what I would like the Caribbean to be: A gorgeous beach, amazing sea life just below the surface, a sustainable subsistence fishing "industry", locals running most of the tourism establishments, no tourism infrastructure ruining it for the local population. So basically, seen from the ocean, it's: corals and sea life, then... More

This beach is really nice. I love to go to this beach and castara in general. The only problem I have is the monstrosity that is being built up directly as u drive in the main beach facility. That's awful. When u pass that everything g else is good. I also love to go to heavenly bay just nearby. That's... More

The day we arrived, Sting rays were feeding on the little dead fish and that had come in with the fishermen. Quite a sight per se! Be informed that they do not attack, but will defend themselves. That said, all you need to do is ensure you don't walk on them by splashing a bit when you go into the... More

We went to Castara as a day trip with our daughter and my fiance's little sister. The view from the road above was so beautiful I was amazed! When we drove to the beach however, it was deserted. There was about 8 other tourists on the beach besides ourselves, which was shocking for being so nice! We did enjoy having... More

The wide bay of Castara hosts a number of small fishing boats, and a basic raft anchored just off the sand to the left ( from the sea ). We have snorkelled directly off the left hand beach, but the best snorkelling is in Emerald Bay, to the left of Castara Bay entrance. Buoys are available to tie up to,... More
