Even in January, the water was warm. So clear and snorkeling was a great experience - we saw small fish and a barracuda. We also saw turtles from the boat. Theres a beautiful beach on one side of the island with soft sand. Definitely a...More

Buck Island Reef National Monument is well worth the trip to see its undeveloped natural beauty. We went with Caribbean Sea Adventures and our captain (Megan) and snorkeling guide (Michelle) were awesome. The weather got a bit rough as some winds picked up while we...More

It was a really rough day but the snorkeling was out of this world. The female captain and her all girl crew were the height of professionalism. The equipment was first rate and we were served a light snack with rum punch after the snorkeling...More

This island has the most breathtaking water and beaches. The fact that it's natural beauty is protected makes it even more amazing. We took a full day excursion to this island and it was worth every minute.

A must-do excursion from near Christiansted. A six-hour round trip, including an hour or more of snorkel or scuba diving over coral reefs and tropical fish. Sail by one of the Cat or Trimarans for the best adventure. Our charter took two groups of about...More

My wife and I were underwhelmed with this excursion. The catamaran picked us up at Buccaneer Hotel which was fun. The boat ride and staff for Big Beard's were great. The storms have left the beautiful reef without a big variety of fish and the...More

Turtle beach has lost a lot of sand due to Maria but we still had fun snorkeling and walking around there. Snorkeling the reef was quite the ultimate experience.

Snorkeling only. No diving allowed. Access by boats with permits only. There are several tour companies who go to Buck Island, ranging from $35 to $70 for a 3 hour tour. $70 is too much, in my opinion.

There are a number of tour companies who leave from Christiansted. Check them out individually. You can get taxis easily from Fredricksted to Christiansted at any time.
