If there is only one thing you choose to do when you are on Croix, this is it. Hands down. Fantastic snorkeling. Even small kids and thise new tk snorkeling can handle this.

I enjoy my visit to Buck Island. The water is clear and the coral reefs are a must see. It’s just a boat ride from the boardwalk. Make sure you pack your sunscreen.

We went with family. Beautiful beach. My son and girlfiend enjoyed the snorkeling a lot. Boat ride safe and professional with BlackBeard. No rum due to good Friday brought our own. Had fun swimming in the waves, Must see.

Try both, I have snorkled both places, and most often by the shore is mirky so you have a lesser chance to see fish. The National Monument at Buck Island Reef is shallow and narrow, but lovely fish up close and personal... More

We were on Celebrity Silhouette - docked from 8am to 5pm. I personally would not use the cruise line excursion - too expensive.

Snorkeling only. No diving allowed. Access by boats with permits only. There are several tour companies who go to Buck Island, ranging from $35 to $70 for a 3 hour tour. $70 is too much, in my opinion.
