This park is one you must see. It is the only National Park underwater and it is worth the day doing it. The island is great as well. Snorkeling right off the western beach isn't great due to just sand. But take a walk around...More

Buck Island should definitely be one of your excursion when you visit St.Croix. It is a beautiful island totally uninhabited so the sand is virgin white & the water is spectacular. We snorkeled very little on Turtle Beach instead we chose to spend our time...More

Buck Island is a must do excursion. We took the 1/2 day AM trip with Big Beard's Adventure Tours. First you will vist Turtle Beach. This is a perfect spot to swim in clear aqua waters and see some rays offshore. Then you will head...More

Definitely worth the trip out! The colors were beautiful. We only did a half day trip but we were fairly inexperienced and that was plenty.

Go on a boat tour to the island. Snorkel or swim- your choice. You can hike buck island as well. Be sure to bring hiking shoes if you choose to do this. Great view from top of island.

Snorkeling only. No diving allowed. Access by boats with permits only. There are several tour companies who go to Buck Island, ranging from $35 to $70 for a 3 hour tour. $70 is too much, in my opinion.

There are a number of tour companies who leave from Christiansted. Check them out individually. You can get taxis easily from Fredricksted to Christiansted at any time.

Yes. It is a gradual dip. You can snorkel off the beach or at the underwater park. The underwater park is probably 30 feet deep- but you will never be far from the boat. Buck Island is absolutely amazing. We have traveled... More
