The kayaks are for 2 people and the night we went everyone was paired up, except for the 2 leaders. My husband and I both pedaled. There are controls for changing the direction of the kayak by both seats, but we agreed only 1 of us should handle direction. If we were to do it again, we'd have that be the person in front, rather than the one in front telling the one in back what was coming up (so, how to steer.)
There's a weight limit, but two adults would usually work. E-mail questions to them. I got fast responses to the Qs I sent before we went to St. Croix.
