How to find Little Princess Estate

It is indeed hard to find, so I am providing a map, made with GPSVisualizer.com and annotated by me. We were there on a Tuesday, which has no posted tour hours. But we were met... read more

My husband and I were staying the Palms hotel. I had looked for things to do online before going and had printed a "map" of these grounds before leaving. I knew that others had said it was difficult to find. We decided to look for the sign as we were walking down the beach. I was surprised to find it... More

We stumbled across this place on a hike. There was some very interesting infomation and history available there, but the place seemed very run down and abandoned. We didn't stay long because it creeped us out a bit.

This is a plantation great house in a beautiful sea side setting. The great house is well preserved and the grounds are stunning!

It is indeed hard to find, so I am providing a map, made with GPSVisualizer.com and annotated by me. We were there on a Tuesday, which has no posted tour hours. But we were met by Victor, and had an interesting and unhurried tour. A general note about navigating around St Croix with a Garmin GPS navigator: Ours did not... More

We were able to find the sign, it pointed to a locked chain link gate in a jungle, next to a sketchy neighborhood, so we did not get to see anything. There was also a bumpy dirt road that went up over a hill to sight unseen but it did not look friendly so we did not go there (3... More

We stopped by because we wanted to get a close up look at a sugar mill for free (there are dozens on private property on the island). It was hard to find it's a few hundred yards down a poorly paved road to the right of the Pueblo supermarket outside of Christiansted. There were actually quite a few ruins from... More

We were the only visitors one recent afternoon. We were lucky enough to get a long tour from Richard, who is the land steward for the Nature Conservancy. He knew so much about the local flora & fauna. He answered all of our questions about the local history, the birds, animals and trees on both inland & ocean parts of... More

It's hard to find with no sighs leading the way. The people working there seems surprised when somebody does trip across the place. They're nice and welcoming enough, but there isn't really much to see. One building is basically their office space, the other has a handful of old photos on the wall explaining the history of the plantation that... More

The Nature Conservancy does great work and we went to see their headquarters which are in an old plantation and sugar and rum factory. There were no tours the day we were there, but it was interesting to hike around the trails to see the old factory and mill buildings which are now covered with vines and trees. This is... More
