I knew I wanted to stop here on a port day in St. Thomas. The view is as breathtaking as I had expected. Yes, it's a bit touristy, but that was okay with me. There is a nice selection of clothing and souvenirs. My friends enjoyed banana daiquiris, but I passed as I'm not a fan of bananas. The trip to get to Mountain Top is a bit harrowing in spots, but as I wasn't driving, I wasn't too worried.…

At 1500 feet, Mountain Top is located on the highest point of St. Thomas. Here in one location, there is a large souvenir shop (the USVI offers duty-free shopping) and an expansive observation deck overlooking Magens Bay, St. John, and the British Virgin Islands. All I could think was that this is a place that cruise ships offer paid excursions to for inexperienced travelers. Oh and there are animatronic talking pirates out front too which makes the experience feel even more like some sad tee shirt store on International Drive in Orlando. …

Spectacular Views. Nice store with a large variety of souvenirs and clothing. They have a bar too, which my family liked.

Beautiful views from the Mountain Top but it was SUPER windy. The view requires you to walk through a warehouse full of typical touristy souvenirs. The road up is super windy as bumpy and barely bigger then one-lane traffic. It’s a check in the box to see but nothing I would do more then once. …
