Neat little tour gives you local lore about the mythical Bluebeard. Lots of discoveries from sunken ships are looking dated here including pipes, chinaware, and cutlery. You can touch a barnacle encrusted sword. View of St. Thomas from the roof is worth the $10/person- 20 minutes tour.

Another tour stop where the tour guide took pictures of us and gave us a brief history of Blue Beard Castle. I got some really good pictures of the island from this location because it is another spot that overlooks the island ; not much more to do here except take pictures and tour areas that are open to tourist... The location of this hotel worked well for us as not far from the airport and downtown area. We had a studio unit with a small fridge and a two burner cooktop and microwave which worked well enough for the few days we were there. there are also barbecue grills which are propane as well as a few briquette grills.... Was not impressed. Museum was closed and signs posted everywhere, "for resort guests only." Not sure if we were missing something. Disappointing!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We stayed directly in Bluebeard's Castle & it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The food and entertainment was out of this world! Highly recommend for a Honeymoon Vacation!

One of those touristy but fun things to do whilst in Charlotte Amalie, lots of history, sunken ships, myths exposed... Be sure to call and find out the times for the tours, iffy hours, but that way you get to the top for the view!!!

Make sure you sign up for the tour (given on Thursday evenings) or you won't be able to visit the top. Our guide was disorganized (to say the least) but it was an informative visit, and gave some insight into the history of the area. Takes about an hour. Have $5 drinks and appetizers at Room With A View afterwards.... More

Sean delivers an excellent tour of artifacts which have been recovered from sunken ships and land finds showing the history of life in the world in days gone by. The tour takes approximately 1-1.5 hours and you will learn about sunken boats and what they carried during their travels with the recovered artifacts on display. The tour is extremely affordable.... Bluebeards Tower, now part of the large time share complex called Bluebeards Castle Resort that sits atop Bluebeards Hill just to the east of Charlotte Amalie, is a stone watchtower originally build by the Danish around 1689 to aid in the defense of the island and was called Frederik's Fort. While staying at Bluebeards Castle Resort, we passed by the... More
