We spent about 2 hours at Magens Bay in April 2017. The water was clear, calm, and the perfect temperature. The beach offers several amenities: a changing area, restrooms, rinsing area for sandy feet, water sports rentals, food and drinks. There is a charge to enter the beach because it's like a state park (territorial park, I guess?). When we... More

I was very skeptical about this beach because I love the ocean waves.Eventually I gave in and I was amazed by its beauty. The view and the color of the sea made for a unforgettable experience. Warning: there is not a lot of sand space. We had to sit close to the bathrooms. This beach has bathrooms, restaurants, and water... More

Decided to venture our from the Frenchman's Cove Resort for a day at Magens Beach and were not disappointed at all. We chose a day when there was very little cruise ship traffic in port which was a great idea. Beach wasn't to crowded and very comfortable with space. 3 of us made the trip and it was $17 to... It was overcast and even rained a few times, but the water was still amazing. It is a public beach so expect to pay an entrance fee. bring your own towels and other equipment because it is expensive to rent. The snack bar there had some of the best food we ate on the island and the beer is cheap!... More

Beautiful island, but our accommodations at the Sunset Gardens Guesthouse was a big disappointment. Very dirty hotel.

This was our first time to Magens Bay beach. Our last time in St. Thomas, we were rained out. The drive from the ship ports is not to bad. I think we paid about $10 per person. Once you get to the beach, there is a $5 entrance fee per person as well. They do offer beach chairs, umbrellas etc... More

Amazing beach. Huge but very crowded during the day. Once the cruise ship folks left, it was much, much nicer. Stunningly beautiful.

Warm clear water, chair rentals available. Gift shop with nice stuff, beach food and bar. Go when the cruise ships aren't in port. Swam with sea turtles.

Megans Bay is a great beach. Lots of parking, very good facilities, and has food and a gift shop. Wonderful sand and family friendly. First went there 30 years ago on our honeymoon and was a must visit during this trip.
