A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

This is a beautiful area but a very small beach line. The usable sit and swim shoreline is hampered by a pretty steep decline into the water. On the plus side there is a great tiki hut with decent food and drink and a rental hut for all things beach related.

Visited early afternoon and found a easy spot under a tree! Free chairs for use. Just go to the sapphire beach resort and park then walk down. Lil bar and food available but we did not eat any. I spent about an hour swimming around and took my scuba mask in ! Saw a few fish. I'm sure I would... More

We stayed at Sapphire Beach resort for a week and absolutely loved the beach itself. Turquoise water, soft white sand, lots of tree shade options, beautiful view across to St John, no passing cruise ships, a dive shop & beach bar available, and great snorkeling. The beach itself isn't long, so it could get crowded on days where multiple cruise... More

Yup, in the NE, we have some very beautiful beaches all along the coast from ME to FL. Include the USVI in that list. STT has many gorgeous beaches and Sapphire is a gem. The beauty begins at the hilltop upon arrival with incredibly blue/green waters and an overlook that includes out islands of the BVI as well as small... More

This beach on St. Thomas is one of our favorites - it has beautiful, clear blue waters. Fine, soft sand and is not as crowded as some of the other popular beaches on the island. Was able to rent an lounger and umbrella. There is a cute seaside place to get a light lunch as well. Highly recommend this beach!

We took a taxi here from the cruise port. It was easy to get chairs (trees for shade), wasn't too busy and had decent snorkelling. The waitress was friendly and the service was fairly quick. Taxis where waiting to take us back. Overall we had a great day

This place is great you have a mixture of people locals and travelers but it is big and enough space to layout. The bar is great and they also have beach servers that come around..

A great place to visit but pay attention to the wind forecast. If the wind is out of the northeast, the water can get quite choppy and swells can make the snorkeling a bit dangerous. Good facilities are available with bathrooms, bar and snorkel gear for rent.
