There's not a great deal of the castle left, but what is there is worth the walk, across the first fairway of the golf course. There's a bit of history here, so for me it means it is worthwhile making the effort.

Splendid walking area withexcellent views of the Taff Vechan valley, and very close to the Pontsarn Viaduct and Taff trail; the area is not really suitable for unacompanied children, as there are unguarded Cliffs, also the castle remains are poorly maintained!

This was my playground as a kid, hasn't changed much, except the only thing left is the crypt which is now secured with iron gate due to idiotic vandals etc, set adjacent to the Morlais Golf course and has great views over the valley and...More

There is no simple way to get to this ruins. It is set in the middle of a golf course and not doable for anyone with walking difficulties. The walk there (about 600 yards from the Golf club car park) is simple enough but then...More
