This is as good as it gets. It's a beautiful walking beach with crystal clear water. If you're snorkeling, the reef is to the right, and the turtles are straight ahead in the sea grass. There's also plenty of parking.

We loved maho bay for the white sand beach, even though narrow, and the turquoise water, all that it professes to be, parking is hard. We found this true on every beach, a little easier here.

Better for families. Not as much natural beauty as Trunk Bay. Great snorkeling although I didn't see any turtles. Snorkel around the point to the right of the bay when facing ocean and stop and one of the deserted beaches ("little maho" and "little little maho") along the shore. Bugs come out with a vengeance when sun sets.

No services but beautiful tranquil water and fewer visitors than beaches closer to town. Limited parking in an unpaved lot across the road at the end of the beach.

Beautiful turquoise water, gentle waves, and white sand. There is some shade from trees. The beach is narrow but we found space even during Christmas week. Easy parking

After Trunk Bay we stopped here because we heard you could see sea turtles. This is a totally different bay and a lot less crowded than Trunk Bay but we did get to do some great snorkeling. It shows a different type of beauty on St.Johns but worth seeing.

this was the calmest beach that we found on St. John. It's absolteuly beautiful and our 2nd favorite after Hawksnest. Just gorgeous!

There is a lot of wildlife to see under the water. I have seen rays, sharks, and turtles, along with all kinds of fish and fry schools so big you cant see the coral behind them.
