We stopped here for about 15 minutes during our tour of the island. The gentleman there was very knowledgeable about the fort and how it played a role in Nassau's history. It was worth the stop.

It could be pretty cool, but it was closed when I went there. Still interesting to look at from the outside, but all of the informative information was on the inside so It was a shame.

This is a free attraction, but was full of historical information and artifacts. It was interesting to see how the island was defended by so many forts at strategic geographic positions.Highly recommended.

I really did love the beach here. We wondered all over the various coves and found some great snorkeling here. We saw all kinds of fish and rays just off the beach. There are vendors with food/drinks especially on the weekends. Super clean facilities. The fort is beautiful but it is just something you can walk around. You cannot really... More

Fort Montagu is an excellent tourist landmark that is a popular stop for tour guides. Also a very nice beach for locals and tourists. Many sailing regattas and festivals are held at this location during the summer months.

I had a great vacation in Paradise Island, Bahamas. I went on a tour to see Fort Montagu in Nassau. Fort Montagu is a small fort with four cannons. It's purpose at the time was to defend the British from Spanish invaders.

This was one of the stops on the tour I took, was pleasantly surprised with this area, not many people there, nice views across the water for great photos, small sandy beach area, and a playground for kids - Fort Montagu was closed so no opportunity to explore inside - would visit this park again.

The beach smells a bit. The Fort was a very cool photo prop. Other than the history and writing your names theres not much to this stop.
