- Rob HSalem, New Hampshire164 contributionsToo cramped and overpricedThe casino is nice, so if you’re going there for the casino, then I’d say this is a good choice. But if you’re going there for a relaxing family vacation it’s really anything but. Everything is too crowded. They let too many people on the beach. It’s very difficult to get spots at the pool. And the food trucks have lines that are 10 people deep at all times of the day. If you’re willing to put up with crowds and don’t mind being on top of others, then this is a great place but if you like a little bit of privacy, and to not have to fight crowds, I’d go somewhere else.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten December 15, 2023
- vimatravel204 contributionsBest Casino in the Carribean!Tight slots, don’t bother with High Limit room. This is my 3rd visit to the Baha Mar resort and my expectations are low regarding casinos in the Carribean. That being said Baha Mar is by far the best Casino in the area. Certainly not Vegas or even AC for that matter but still better than all the rest in the tropics. Enjoy and have fun!Dear Vimatravel, Thank you for your valued feedback! - marc rWest Hartford, Connecticut14 contributionsGrand Hyatt Front Desk ROCK!!!Grand Hyatt front desk superseded our expectations. Special mention to the following: Aaliyah A-Super sweet and I was simply trying to adjust a dining reservation and couldn’t find anyone to assist. She walked me over to concierge desk that was closed instead of just sending me on my way. She was cheerful and kind. When I got there, it was closed but Philliciti quickly and kindly took over and sorted everything out with such patience. She was awesome and got us all fixed up. Super nice. Lastly, Aaliyah come over w an unexpected act of kindness and handed me a drink coupon just cause. Never asked for anything and it was very appreciated. Just an overall great vibe here and most staff super friendly. Only a few aren’t nearly as nice. But these two were wonderful.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 10, 2024

While they haven't swapped the trash cans out yet, for models without ashtrays on the top, the casino is currently non-smoking and it's such a refreshing change compared to Tahoe and Vegas (where I normally go). Hadn't been to the Bahamas in ten years, but decided to give the Hyatt a try for a family trip, primarily because the idea of beach+water park+casino appealed, but preferably under the Hyatt brand for the Globalist benefits. After having a fantastic experience, I don't see any real reason to go back to Atlantis, and we'll probably make this Hyatt and Baha Mar casino an annual fall getaway before school restarts.
Being able to gamble for hours, then go to dinner while not making the others in my party gag from the nasty stale cigarette smell attached to all my clothing, was awesome. I probably put in three or four more hours per day at the tables than I do in Vegas thanks to this.
Anyway, four minor complaints that prevented me from going to five stars: 1) There isn't a craps table that opens early in the day, and that's all I play. On a family trip, early morning is often a time I can get a few hours in while relatives and kids are rolling out of bed or not yet ready for breakfast. 2) I never saw a table lower than $15. That's fine for me, but at a destination property like this, where family members or friends may come who've never played craps, that's a big ask just to try things out. Why not have a $5 table mid afternoon to let newcomers try out different games without the big commit? Why not have a $10 table when it's dead? Get some fresh shooters who attract others to the table. 3) They do not grandfather. I was at the table when a shooter had a great run, everyone was yelling and cheering, super fun vibe, and as soon as her roll ended they raised the table limit and almost everyone left. I'll never understand that; why would you not want the people who just won a bunch to stick around to possibly give it back? It killed the mood for those that remained so we all colored out as well. 4) As is often the case with casinos that don't have much competition, a field bet 12 only pays double.
The dealers here are phenomenal. So again, I really wanted to go five stars, just didn't because of those above annoyances, but it was super super close thanks to how great the staff are. All the dealers at the craps pits were so friendly and fun to interact with; did not encounter a single standoffish person like you often do in Vegas.

Having just returned from Cable Beach- Nassau Bahamas I must say that it a great experience. From the casino, grounds , music and overall atmosphere this is a great vacation. We were there Monday through Saturday. Restaurants are constantly improving although pricey. We have come to know the area and recommend that you explore the local restaurants

Nice resort with good service overall. The property is very clean. However, watch out for constant overcharging and incorrect bills. On 5 occasions the property attempted to charge us more than the items ordered. The property would only adjust 2 of them. Management refused to adjust $250 of overcharges on a $10,000 stay.

If they are not ready to open DON’T. Could not get food anywhere on property at 10:45 at night, only room service, sorry trying to watch college bowl games. Nobody has an explanation as to why the Pizza place isn’t open, but oh well they decided to close. Room service wouldn’t deliver to sports book as an exception, so much for trying to accommodate. Meanwhile this is after being in our room for over an hour waiting on Covid results, no room keys and no luggage. Been here three times a year for the last four years and I’m sorry if you’re not open ready to open then don’t freaking open

Had the best time with the best service ever in Baha Mar! Our host Vernique was so attentive and made everything so seamless and perfect. Alexis, Kyle, and Keiran became quick friends and took amazing care of us at the Beach Bay cabana. Vanessa and Judith in the casino were wonderful and Kevin [from heaven], Don, and Micah in the sports book were impeccable. We miss everyone already and thank them so much for an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back!

Although we did not stay at the Bajamar hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed their waterpark, restaurants and their gardens, pools, and fountain light shows. We also liked that they did not try to nickel and dime us like the Atlantis hotel and resort tried to do. If you’re driving your own rental car there is no charge for parking, unlike The Atlantis resort where you have to pay $19 in their valet parking. Special thanks to Anthony our waiter at Cinko Restaurant, he made our anniversary evening extra special with his great personality and charisma.

We were staying at the Grand Hyatt and obviously the casino is front and center as you do anything on the property. We had a large group with active teenagers so finding time to play some table games at the casino was a challenge. One aspect I really liked was that the lower table game limits always stayed the same (craps, roulette, and Black Jack had a $15 table open day or night). Obviously, the tables were busier at night but I never saw them raise the lowest table limits.
I was also impressed with the quality of dealers - very helpful.
it was kind of neat that you could find $15 tables of the core games at different areas of the casino. For example, There were three $15 craps tables spread around the casino when it was busy.
They also had “bubble” craps and roulette for $3 a play. (Many of the bubble craps “hit” buttons did not work at the one game we tried.

Room clean, no place in shower to put toiletries. That’s annoying.
cannot walk in to any restaurants despite concierge telling us so. Extremely difficult to get restaurant reservations even in advance.
If it rains, You are out of luck. There is NOTHING for teens to do. Kids club for small kids. Casino/shops for adults.
Repeatedly asked front desk for several things and had to ask about 4 times for anything to be done.
Water park very disappointing, very small. Can’t really see where they spent all that money. I hate Disney and their waterparks are hands down better.
Everything here is extra. Cannot do much of anything without paying top dollar. To be expected in the Bahamas.
Second trip here to Bahamas . First trip to Atlantis. They have Better amenities but staff awful. This place better staff but not impressed with amenities.
None of the restaurants or most of anything on property are affiliated with Hyatt so they don’t communicate with the Hyatt front desk. It’s very annoying and there is a lot of stuff that gets messed up.

Great hotel, great casino but the casino comps are terrible to virtually non existent. Stayed there for 4 nights and asked for player rating, was rated at $121/hand at 3 hours/day = approx $5000/hour. Told that did not meet the criteria for comps. I was told that in order to get any comps you needed to be at $500/hand average and 4 hours a day of playing..... Like I say great place but do not expect any comps, makes sense why Atlantis casino was packed and Baha Mar Casino always had room.

We took a cab to go to the casino from our dlsandals resort. Very close by and we spent a couple of hours enjoying table and video poker games
The minimum is $15 for tables but I was able to find some video poker machines that had 5 cents bets. The play is much like that in the US with the difference being that their minimum gambling age is 18 so I saw a lot of young people I wouldn't have in the US.
Also walked around the resort and it's huge! This wouldn't be a place we want to go to during to it's size but the advantages are that they have a lot of amenities and huge beach area.

What are the table limits like here? Plan on going for the day when the cruise ship visits( On a Saturday) and we are big fans of Let it ride.
and only local free beer when playing?
Love the game but not for 25 USD a hand.
Thanks

On a Saturday the tables are typically $10 minimum until about 11a-12p range when they move to $15. There will typically be $15 tables available all day and night, even on Saturday, but most will move to $25 so the $15 tables remain crowded, particularly craps if they don't move all three craps tables to $25. They do have more than three craps tables but I've never seen more than three open.
