We signed up for shallow water dolphin experience at the Atlantis. Rip off. For that amount of money. you will do a lot more in Florida at Isla Morada. Once we got off the ship we were taken by a tour guide and brought to...More

Very Crowded street, there’s a lot of gift shops, liquor stores, restaurants, brand stores like Pandora, Gucci, etc... but prices are very high. It’s a must visit street if you go to Nassau, but in my opinion not the best place to shop

When you leave the cruise docks, after meandering through the port flea market, you arrive at Bay Street (also noted as Woodes Rogers Walk). There are a variety of shops, etc. that are happy to separate you from your money and bestow cheap souvenirs upon...More

The shops along Bay Street are a collection of known quality stores such as Diamonds International, Columbian Emeralds, and Del Sol, just to name a few. Other shops cater to the souvenir seeker and a variety of tourist sundries. Traffic is horrific, but stay to...More

When I first came to Nassau in 1985 (I stayed here for 14 years) I was fascinated by Bay Street - the colonial buildings, the various shops and restaurants, the old straw market. How disappointing it was for me to see it all deteriorating, with...More

The Bahamas has truly lost its luster over the years. Many stores are gone so Bay Street caters to the cruise ship crowd that runs off the boat to shop. Bay Street is pretty rundown now. How much perfume and jewelry do they think tourists...More

The cruise ships dock about 1 block away from Bay Street. This street is lined with jewelry stores (Little Switzerland, Diamond International, John Bull, David Yurman, etc...) as well as clothing stores and gift shops. The entrance to the Straw Market is also on Bay...More

Not sure what the question really was. But Bay street is safe during the day but early evenings may not be to bad if you are use to city life (I'm originally from Philly & have been to Iraq) because it is a tourist area of... More
