We visited Bay Street on a Sunday mid day for lunch. Every restaurant serves a combination of fried foods or jerk chicken.

My last visit in Nassau we found a collection of local artists, crafters and photographers in Pomfrey Square and this visit found just a square bordered by restaurants and bars. Ended up on Bay Street and glanced down an alley way with unique shops and...More

Definitely worth an hour or two of your island visit to experience this area but not the best place to get discounted souvenirs. Because this is right at the docks for the cruise ships most things are higher priced than buying them almost anywhere else....More

Our cruise ship excursion was canceled so we just walked the area. Several nice shops with high prices. However, we did find some souvenir shops with good quality t-shirts and hats and reasonable prices. Most of these shops were air conditioned and similar to our...More

Plenty tourist traps and overpriced garbage. I don't think one can avoid this street, but there's much more to see and do a few blocks uphill.

We stopped while on the Norwegian Sky cruise. Once departing from the cruise there are a lot of taxi and tours that line the street and try to get tourists. Walking past that.. there are tons of shops and restaurants. A nice afternoon!
