Plenty to see! The place to get souvenir bags, trinkets, pretty wraps, hats and T-shirts at barder prices!

It was so much fun to shop at the straw market. The people were very willing to bargain with you. Never paid the asking price.

Loved the straw market locals were somewhat aggressive but that was to be expected. My third time traveling to the Bahamas so I guess you can say I enjoy it. I try not to haggle the locals as far as prices because I know they rely on tourist.

We went in to look for souvenirs and hopefully get better deals than in the stores along the strip. There were hundreds of booths, each with pretty much the same wares as the one before. They all gave the same deals, so basically you just need to find the variation of the one thing you are looking for. They were... More

We visited the straw market with a group of 8, and it was challenging because of the cramped conditions. Everything is very tight, definitely not a good idea for someone who is claustrophobic! The ladies were shopping for some straw purses and found what they were looking for, but its up for debate if 75% of the stuff being sold... More

Classic tourist junk but at very reasonable prices and everything is always on sale! Don't hesitate to haggle over prices there is a lot of competition!

Annoying. The just won't leave you alone to look around. It's was an awful experience. I felt so bad. Not a feeling I expected to have on vacation. They flag you down in the streets.

Tshirts, trinkets and assorted items for sale in the maze of vendors. Worth a look if you haven't been before but the booths feature same items all with the "Best price". A Bargaining persons delight.

In the Bahamas this is your main shopping center for tourist type shopping. The entire building is full of tiny shops packed on top of each other and all selling the same items. Be prepared to barter and know that the more you buy from 1 vendor the better the prices get. We did shop here on 2 occasions during... More

Well we asked around for activities to do in Nassau... Nor much on land for shopping but ended up going to straw market. It's like a big warehouse with small shops they all have mostly the same things but different prices. People are very pushy trying to sell you stuff and give you the spill how they haven't sold anything..... More
