if you are just for one day in Nassau by a cruise ship then this beach is almost ideal to go there because its just 15 minutes walking far away from the ship. If there are many cruise ships in the port its going to be crowded on this beach. On several spots you can find some restaurants and bars,... More

If you like that then this is your beach. I think the cruise ship people head here to spend the day. Super crowded. There are several vendors, food huts, bar (one has 4 beer for $10. Bargain for Nassau!!), even a massage hut 😣. But if you walk a little more down the road towards the fish fry there is... More

Beautiful Beach away from the tourist area. We stopped there during our tour with Divine Tours and got a lot of pictures.

Junkanoo beach is a nice safe beach with various bars and activities. Best deal if visiting Nassau for a day.

Great sand and views, lovely jetty for walking. Lots of music from the cabanas but also nice quiet spots as well. Gets crowded later in the day from the cruise crowd but a nice spot overall especially for walking distance from the harbor

Would definitely recommend. They will play the drums, conch shells for you and let you play the drums. They let you try on some of the costumes. You'll learn a lot of local history and the history of the Junkanoo! We have actually seen them preform at Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2008! Amazing!

Stop in for a drink or some food. Get your hair braids. Local food and drink is available. Can be very busy when ships are in port. Nice beach.

This beach was so beautiful. The water was so blue and everyone local around the beach was so friendly and made it even better. There was also things to do there if you want more than a beach experience. Look forward to coming back someday.

Right off the port a short walk away is Junkanoo beach. There is a bar (Tiki Bikini Hut) right on the sand as you walk up with great drink specials and always has the music cranked up. As good as this place is it's not on the top of my list when I come to port. Just past this bar... More

Small beach on the north shore of Nassau. Became very crowded when the cruise ship passengers arrived for the day. Loud music and crowded. If you are looking for a quiet beach this is not it.
