Closest beach to the cruise port, it's easy walking distance on the opposite side of the British Colonial Hilton Nassau, it's free, the couple times I've gone the weather was too bad to enjoy but I would recommend if your not looking to pay to use a hotel beach.

25$ all day watersports, Walk down the beach and see a man named General in a green shirt. Great food/drink and also good deals at the little bar on the beach. It was windy when we were there, so not the best conditions, the beach is a bit rocky and in the water, so you got to be a little... More

Our ship was only visiting Nassau for one day and we really didn't want to do a long shore excursion or pay a lot of money. We had many amenities already available on the ship. We just wanted to sit on the beach for a while, and Junkanoo Beach filled the bill quite nicely. It was an easy walk from... More

Since it was free, it is a long walk for a kid that like to complain. Wear good walking shoes avoid sandals. The beach sand is on the coarse rocky side, water can be a bit blurry. It's a city beach, your close to commerces and a busy road. Grab a taxi or a boat and go to a better... More

This beach is across from the Courtyard where we stayed. The beach is beautiful, many friendly vendors and no one pressure selling anything. My daughter (10) spent two good days playing there in the water and the sand. You can occasionally see schools of fish. Lots of beach music and a beautiful setting. I loved the Bahama Mamma drinks and... More

We walked here from our cruise ship. The beach is gorgeous and the water is Crystal blue. And warm. The sand is a beautiful white. Bring your snorkel gear! !! Walk down the beach a bit and snorkel out over the seaweed. There's a ton of tiny blue tropical fish swimming about. There's a stall on the beach grilling amazing... More

We walked from our ship to this beach and the view was beautiful. We continued until we went to all the little restaurants "fish fry" and the food was sooooo good. One key thing to remember if you are part of a cruise they will NOT allow you to bring tue food on the ship so eat before you get... More
