We walked to this beach from Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas on May 8, 2017. Being that my husband and I had been to the Bahamas previously, we felt it wasn't necessary to tour the island. Beach is located approximately a fifteen minute walk from the pier. Once there, you will notice immediately that the beach is not large.... More

This is a free beach, VERY close to the cruise ships (7 to 12 min walk) so beautiful, not crowded or loud. Picturesque, clean, just can't say enough about it.....

This beach is about a 15-20 minute walk or $10/person cab ride. No ATM in the area so please get cash on your boat before you start walking towards this beach. It is CASH ONLY for all of the merchants there.

We came to Nassau for the day from Carnival Ecstasy and after careful review, decided to spend the day at Cable Beach and stop off at Junkanoo Beach for lunch. Greatest decision we made the entire trip! Junkanoo is most definitely a party beach, and we were looking for something a little more family friendly and serene. However, we wanted... More

Accessible by walking from the main city and hotels, Junkanoo Beach is the place to experience the Caribbean waters, have a local drink and watch the people. Great place to snooze in the sun.

After two weeks being ripped off at Atlanti$ with $7+taxes beers, $40 pizzas and $20 burgers, Junkanoo Beach was a revelation. Great value ice cold beers at both Seagull's Bar and the adjacent JYAH, run by the magnificent Barry. A few hours at these bars and you begin to relax and feel that you're in the Bahamas, not some dreadful... More

This beach is nasty and not safe. Avoid here. It's gross, gross, gross. Trash everyone and pick pockets.

Junior at water sports on end of beach is great- great prices IF you are looking to paddle board the equipment consisted of one and several hard ride on top kayaks. The paddles are broken or limited. The best part - the people, local and nice. Prices are cheap and it a little walk from cruise ship.

When I arrived in Nassau, I was assuming that they took care of their environment, considering how fragile it is. This beach is small, and dirty. In fact, the whole area is dirty- there's garbage all over the place, and I was so disappointed and horrified to see how poorly maintained this area is. You can see that people have... More
