Beautiful ... worth the drive to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of this beach. Our visit to the Bahamas was highlighted by this beach. All else was secondary.

Pros: Lovely clear water, beach in front of Melia was very clean. No seashells at all, but plenty of large pieces of concrete...it's not coral! Enjoyed snorkeling around large rock formations, easy to walk out to during low tides. People were selling things on beach...More

Love to walk on Cable Beach first thing in the morning! Very clean beach with amazing views and a beautiful pier off of the Baha Mar Resort where I love to do morning yoga with friends!!! This is definitely "Food for the Soul!"

We stayed at WestWind 2, one of the remaining older, 2-story resorts on this beach. Beach was groomed each morning, nearly pure sand but no shells to 'hunt'. Some seaweed washes up but no big deal. Jet skies, parasailing, paddle boards to rent. Lots of...More

I stayed at one of the hotels on Cable Beach. As such, we had a private strip of the beach - fine golden sand, clear turquoise waters and spotted eagle rays jumping out of the water! Breathtaking!!! One warning though - long parts of the...More

I have been to a lot of beaches and this one is at the bottom of my list of favorites. It is hard to say anything bad about a tropical location but....this is not a must see. It has white sand and warm teal water...More

This beach area is so pretty. Wonderful, white, soft sand, and, except for some of the large, natural stone, it was easy to navigate

Powdery sand that does tend to stick to you... water was not as clear as I was hoping it would be but it was refreshing and beautiful blue. Don't expect to find a ton of shells and there is some sea grass to watch out...More

You can access it from the road, there are a few spots where you can pull over and park. The access is along Bay St.

No hairs or umbrellas that we saw, there wasn't much shade either. You access the beach along Bay St and there are plenty of places to pull over and hang out.
