We approached Mores Island on a calm day by boat, traveling across some indescribably beautiful and serene waters. Looking down, one could clearly see the entire sea bottom with the occasional star fish, some interesting coral as well as schools of fish floating by. Hues of aqua, topaz and mint melded with the sky's powdery blue, blending into the horizon.... More

What a waste of time. Promised bird life almost non-existent other than cormorants. Muddy waters from prevailing winds, soft bottom and lots of old wet seagrass on the beaches. Don't bother.

Moore's Island- or "Mores" island as the natives refer to it is a lonely place with limited accomodations. The island's lack of fresh water is a limiting factor to development possibilities. The only reason to visit these days is for the sight seeing and the wonderful bonefishing. Some of the largest bonefish in the bahamas prowl the flats which nearly... More
