Located South of the Fresh Creek airport. Look for the turn off on your left on a curve. A small sign will point you in the right direction. We stop at Somerset Beach on all of our South Land Days while at Forfar. Fresh Creek and Androsia in the morning, then a stop at Somerset for lunch. Amazingly wide sand, fascinating tidal streams, sand bars offshore, can walk out long way. Shade among the casuarinas. Great photography among uprooted casuarina roots.

Spectacular!! A beautiful, empty beach. We were the ONLY people on the beach the day we were there. We didn't see another person in either direction.

the road was in such bad condition it is very hard to access, even on foot. the road, i guess, floods out pretty often. We pulled up to a big puddle and decided to just hike it but the mud was so sticky we had decided to call it a wash.
