A really nice castle. Lots of scope to use your imagination! Interesting information points. Beautiful views (if you're brave enough to go ask the way to the top!). A good afternoon out, we loved it!

So interesting, lots of info across castle. Beautiful castle, took about 3 hours to see, nice gift shop and coffee house. Good value for money.

This is an excellent way to spend a few hours, or more if you take a picnic. The castle is owned and operated by CADW, the Welsh government’s historic environment service and although slighted it is a fabulous place to explore. Although it is a...More

A fabulous castle in the Welsh town of Raglan. Whilst in Raglan be sure to visit the little Nisa supermarket (Watkins) and buy a meat pie for your supper- made in the shop- delicious!!

We went to check out Raglan Castle and had a great time. Very informative walking through the ruins and reading the information boards and imagining what it was like in its heyday. There is a great shop there as well to pick up a gift...More

We arrived too late to go in so only viewed from the gate, it looks pretty intact from the front and was lit by the late sunshine making it look even better. Good for a quick look, looks worthy of paying the entrance fee too.

Large castle which must have been very impressive in its day. I didn't enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed other castles and at £6 is quite expensive. I think I'd struggle to spend more than an hour exploring it. There is some good information...More

This is one of the last built in the great castle building era. This is evidenced by the remains of the great hall which has stone mullioned windows etc., rather than a blocky keep structure. It has suffered some battle damage however, but not much...More

Is this for only CADW members? Can others go in? What are the entrance fees, including parking fees? Thanks!

Not sure if trains from London to Raglan. I would think Newport your nearest main line station. Best to go on line and check, Great Western rail I think.
