About
Beautiful wines from boutique vineyards, created by artisan winemakers - to be shared and enjoyed. As part of the Southern Gippsland Wine Trail, we are close to major highways and an easy, pleasant detour on the way to Phillip Island, Wilsons Promontory or beyond. Our Cellar Door is situated at Loch, the gateway to Prom country in the Gippsland wine region of Victoria's bays and wilderness areas. Relax with a glass or a tasting flight on the verandah and soak up the view over the vines to the beautiful Loch valley. Tours and groups are welcome by appointment. Call us or email for bookings and for Holiday hours check out our Facebook and Instagram posts.

Nice wines in a beautiful setting and friendly operators, really glad we visited here. Sipping cab sav next to the vines with rolling hills as a backdrop. What's not to love?

The tasting at this winery was also a great education in the creation and making of wine and the different types. We ended up walking out with a mixed dozen and a great recommendation for lunch at the Kernot Food & Wine Store.

Well deserving to be Number 1 - Mark has created a Destination not only a Winery. It is a great place to take my guests and friends as Mark is always friendly and has a great story or two to amuse us all. Its a great little social spot to hang out with your friends, bring a picnic, and the wine is great too! My favourite at the moment is an amazing little Rose that he has created! Tastes just like a beautiful wine I had on a overseas trip. World class!

Wineries have to be more than just good wine these days, and Mark at GWC demonstrates this every time we visit. Having the vintner working the cellar door brings a fantastic level of passion and knowledge to the experience, but Mark's customer service ethic tops this.
With a fantastic view over the vineyard and the ocean, I couldn't recommend this winery highly enough for a picnic in the sun and some beautiful wine or cider. And if you've got the coin, try the port! You won't regret it!

We got there a little early but owner was kind enough to open up for us. Loved the wines and walked out with 6 bottles!

We stumbled upon this winery quite by chance & loved the wines & Mark, the owner- so much that we returned with a group of 15. Mark did not disappoint - taking the time to talk us through his lovely wines & even setting up outside for the Reds tasting as he thought it would be more scenic. A glass amongst the vines is a must-do and Mark even kindly gave us some vine cuttings to plant at home. This winery is lovely & well-worth a visit.

I am sorry that I don't write my review about Wine company...never been at that winery but I know it would be great experience because aussie wines are one of the best specially from my local area!!!!! This system on Trip advisor doesn't allow me to write my own title...I have to find something around and click on...Ok....Loch....not Scotland...probably scotisch background....on your way to Wilsons Prom or up North to Sydney( going from Sout/East of Melbourne area take Gippsland Highway)) there are so many small towns and villages you can explore...having time to spent on searching for treasures???...good ...turn on your GPS or check on your map looking for the name of "LOCH" in Gippsland, Vic. That would be good idea to go there during weekend (shops are mainly busy during this time)....specially if you are interested in history of Australia and old wares...plenty of antique shops , opp shops, few coffee bars and one great pub.. one more thing to add,,,there is ones a year very important oldwares show there ....sorry, I don;t remember what time of the year it happens but I have seen ones that market and I have to say...IT IS GREAT!!!..then afterwords go to Korumburra and then Leongatha....bigger cities but stil the same feeling of old fashioned life , this review is probably more helpful for Aussie people but still maybe the "others" would be able to come and visit our great country!!!....well...I am patriot and I love Australia!!! Yahooo:):):)

This is the best tasting experience I have had around Phillip Island. Mark is enthusiastic and engaging host with local knowledge of wine and also the local industry. Combined with a great view and a good selection this is strongly recommended.

I greatly enjoyed my two visits to the Gippsland Wine Company Cellar Door this weekend. Mark is a marvellously welcoming host, and each of the wines I enjoyed were not only great to drink, but very affordable. On the Friday night, the cellar door was full of locals, who were all very friendly and welcoming. On my Sunday afternoon return visit, we enjoyed the roaring log fire, and watched the sun set from the covered outdoor terrace with superb views of the surrounding countryside, cows, and the vines. This is a really beautiful spot to enjoy great wine and excellent company.
