One of the few good days in January ,we travelled down to the harbour to see the Crabbers coming in . A walk round to watch at the far side . There is always something going on . We have a look at the old Sunspear trawler in the harbour and watch the crabbers off loading . The tide is in and a lone heron is standing on a post in the middle of the middle harbour

St Monans is a very picturesque village in the East Neuk of Fife with beautiful white washed red roofed houses around the harbour area. It's a lovely place just to sit and watch the boats and seabirds at play.

St Monans Harbour is a pleasant little harbour to visit and do not forget to nip to the East Pier Smokehouse for some chips!

There is something special about spending a little time watching the happenings in a harbour. Nothing dramatic, but pleasant nonetheless. This is a small village one and is along the coastal path see you get to see the boats and buildings as you potter passed.

The harbour is very pretty. It may not be large but the views are amazing as well can see pretty much everything including Pittenweem, the windmill and the Isle of May.

St Monans harbour is very nice and well worth a look, it's only drawback is that it has Pittenweem and Crail (and Anstruther and Elie to lesser extents) just next door and it's never IMHO going to compete with them. However if you're doing the rounds it's still a must-see.

St Monans is a lovely village, and the harbour area is its most important attribute. From working boats to shops and cafes on the quays, this is also the tourist and commercial heart of the village and is a lovely place to visit.

This is a lovely working harbour here in St. Monans. You can walk up several different piers here just watch underfoot for ropes etc. It’s great to walk around the East Pier and climb up the ladder on the wall to look at the zig zag breakwater.
Just turnaround and look at the lovely vista of st. Monans houses, streets etc across the harbour it’s lovely. It really is nice to see the lobster and crab pots piled up ready for the next days fishing. Great place.
