Very beautiful ragged beach

Worth visiting as a counterpoint to the traditional beaches on the west coast of Barbados. Not much to do other than taking pictures unless you're a surfer. Not safe for swimming.

Quote a contrast to the west coast, but advised it's off limits for swimming. Nonetheless, a beautiful view and great place for picnic or lunch in local cafe.

Nice beach with famous rock formations to see. A little rough for swimming but worth checking out to see the rock formations. Few restaurants around to see as well

Bathsheba beach is a must see even if you only spend 15 minutes, which is unfortunately all our tour allowed. You can't swim here, but if you want to capture some incredible photos, this is the place to be.

Bathsheba is on the east coast which is where all the weather comes from, off the Atlantic Ocean, and there is no bathing beach but the whole place, every inch is photogenic. Except for the litter and garbage which was everywhere when I last visited. This place needs a cleanup and a few more litter bins, and less styrofoam take... More

In visiting Barbados it is a good thing to see other parts of the Island and we thought that the east coast was lovely. It is the Atlantic coast so gets the wind and is quite rocky but it is not crowded and the scenery is lovely...almost Cornwall with warmth. .

This well known beach is on the rugged, east (Atlantic) coast of Barbados and can be quite a challenge to reach in a hire car. The road signs and the road surfaces leave a good bit to be desired. It is definitely worth a visit, if only to say you have been and for the iconic rock formations and views... More

Most soulful place I've ever been: Rented a car and drove to the east coast (challenging, due to British back wards driving and roads were adventurous to say the least) but will stay with us forever! Secret tidal pools left a place in our hearts. Ate at the Round House...fun and good food and strong cocktails!

We stopped at Bathsheba for a look while touring Barbados. Since it's on the Atlantic side of the island, there is quite a bit of surf and this area is popular with surfers. The view of the coast is very nice.

On a day out with a driver, he took us into a rum shop to see the picture of Mick Jagger on the steps of the shop. The sea was quite benign but you wouldn't want to swim, the few surfers were having to wait for the wave. Beautiful beach with coconut palms and rock formations, sand too hot to... More
